Kyrie post game just said that he said what he said about staying in Boston and it doesn't matter how concrete he says it and stands by it but, for some, it's just not enough.

He also stated again that he hates he is being dragged into the whole Davis, Lakers, Pels situation by people outside.

Sure sounds to me like a guy who standing by what he said last summer.
I listened to the whole thing and it sounded to me like he was only backtracking off of what he said in October and is simply keeping his options open - which should probably have been his mindset all along. I did find Mannix's comments interesting.
See, this is exactly the point Kyrie was making.

Kyrie was pretty clear he hated being put in the middle of drama in other places in the NBA and that he stands by what he says about staying in Boston.

Then he said that it apparently doesn't matter how concrete he was on that, that people just believe what they want. Again, very clear.

You seem to only be doing what he says people are doing which is reading stuff into what saying that isn't there.

Are you being facetious, nick?
Nope. Just stating the truth. Stuff that's been said about him for a while. He hates when trade talks/free agency rumors between other players and teams drags him into the middle of the story for no reason. He says that is what is happening now and he hates it. Mannix said he was told this about Kyrie from a Cavs player a couple years ago.

He must be selective in his involvement then because he has a long history of creating drama.
So you're basically asked me that question so you could answer by taking a swipe at Kyrie

Whatever, tars. Whatever.

Kyrie's postgame presser, where he basically said it doesn't matter how many times he says something it still won't be concrete for some people.

All good, should make it another thread really, so everyone sees it and can stop believing every single report that’s put out.

Thanks guys. I brought it up as soon as I saw it happen live. And Kyrie is right. People still are going to doubt or disbelieve or misinterpret him no matter how concrete he is about what he says.

Nooooo...

These posts aren't fitting Rich Pauls' (and some on ESPN's) narrative, though.

They must be deleted.

We simply MUST allow the seeds of discourse and hatred for Kyrie Irving to fester.

I think he does not care for the media circus and the same questions over and over again.

I think the majority of people completely misunderstand Kyrie Irving, at least in regards to his efforts with the Boston Celtics.  He's odd, polarizing, emotional, stubborn, immature etc.  At the same time, my mind keeps going back to the fact that he's one of the only "Superstars" in the NBA who is attempting to adapt his game to a group of young players.  His efforts to fit into Brad's system hold more weight than a press conference where he becomes over-reactive.  I'm sure everyone on this message board can agree that Kyrie has a temperament issue.

Maybe I am completely wrong but I believe he genuinely wants things to work out in Boston above all else.  I interpret the recent comments as Kyrie being sick of the media, especially in regard to being grouped with AD, LeBron, and Durant.  His demeanor kind of reminds me of David Price to a certain extent.

I think he might have said some of this stuff to light a fire under the team.   It seemed to work last night but we were playing the crappy Knicks.

As I mentioned in another thread, its time to leave Kyrie alone. The guy just seem frustrated with this media circus. I also think as fans we are taking him for granted. He's one of best in the league and my favorite point guard in the NBA. Anyone else would also feel annoyed by having to work a hectic NBA schedule and answer all these ridiculous questions.

Personally, I am looking forward to this year's playoffs WITH a healthy Kyrie because I think we can win the East.

Time to put the "will he stay or go?" rubbish to bed.
