Marcus Morris said it just right after the win:

“It’s not enough. It’s not enough. It’s a win. We accept it, but it’s not enough.”

It is over

Bucks best chance was having everyone healthy. Brogdon is a key loss

their regular season format of using Giannis as "bait" ....double team early, does not work against a smart team

Bucks don't have that "other" player,  teams may need an extra eye on, that can free up Giannis

Celtics beat bucks in a 5 or 6

he's right, they need 3 more then it'll be enough (for this series)

Quote
Game 1:
A team with home-court advantage in game 1 has a 53.2% of winning the entire series. A win in game 1 for the home team drives this percentage up by nearly 13% and thus a game 1 win for the home team means they have a pretty good shot (66%). A win for the away team interestingly enough drives their winning percentage up to the same 66% but from an initial 46.8% in game 1. If these numbers are averaged, a game 1 win leads to approximately a 15% increase in winning the series.

These sort of stats always make me a laugh because of how similar they are to the results if you just assume each team has a 50% win chance in every game. (which isn't the case with home court, higher seed typically being stronger, etc..)

Winning the first coin flip in a best of seven (with a fair coin) results in a 68.75% chance to win the series for the team that has banked a win.

Definitely not over.

I'm very please with how well this team has played the last 5 games. But I think the Detroit walk-over didn't do Milwaukee any favors. I'll be surprised if they don't play a ton better in game 2 with the desperation of having already lost HCA.

Hopefully the C's are greedy and bring a similar effort.

It's funny to see how the people who were slitting wrists the most in the regular season are the ones super confident now, it's what I love about this place

Things are never as bad as you think they are...but they're usually never as good as you think they are either. But if we play to our best I don't think there's any team in the league that can beat us in 7 games.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

It must be a Boston sports thing.

...where the team is so far unbeaten in the playoffs, but by the time the game is over people are talking about who they want to get rid of while drooling over someone who doesn't want to be here.

Had me looking for other Celtic forums, and makes me think I know the reason SB nation gave this site the boot.

Yeah, that's not the reason.

Wanna try again?

Nope...that's good enough for me  :)  When someone gets fired, they're never told the real reason.

Seriously though, all that trade mess should have it's own thread or something. It's something no one here has control over, and sick of reading it.

Some people are just old school...I don't want every good player to play here...I want us to BEAT them.

Yeah, some people are just old school, mainly in the GET OFF MY LAWN type of way.

Have you read this thread? there isn't much if any trade discussion in it.

Yeah, no...i'm not that type, but my views are from a competitive standpoint and always will be.

And guys, i'm not talking about only this thread, but "Celtics talk".
