The ref inconsistency is the problem.  I have no real issue if they call a game looser or tighter, but they need to be consistent throughout the game and they aren't even consistent on the same possession.

It truly is Durant's team.  All KD iso at the end of the game here.

Note to NBA - all of these fouls and free throws do not make for an entertaining viewing experience.

Pretty much this.

Draymond literally leaned forward and bumped into Harden on his 3-point attempt to try and tie it late. No call.

I don't blame CP3 and the Rockets for being furious with the refs. The Warriors have gotten every break from them today and won because of them. I get people probably think "karma" since Harden and the Rockets benefit from the refs, but frankly so do the Warriors and today's game had no consistency (one sided).

More inconsistency.  The way fouls around the perimeter have been called this season, that's 3 free throws for Harden at the end of the game, even if his legs were moving forward a bit on the shot.

I'm not sure what's more enjoyable - watching Harden put together another inefficient game and Paul getting tossed as Houston secures the loss, or if Golden State had gotten blown out.  I'm sick of both KD and Harden and the respective teams they play for.

So, the ones early on Harden definitely did look like fouls. The defenders definitely were coming forward into his natural landing area. However, that last one was all on Harden flailing his legs forward trying to draw the foul. You don’t get to come forward in your shot trying to draw the foul and not allow a defender anywhere near you to contest.

EDIT: Though the part that’s frustrating is that during the season the refs would’ve likely called all of those fouls. Just another reason highlighting why NBA officiating is so broken and inconsistent. The league has tried way too hard to influence the game towards offense via the officials, and this is the result you get. The NBA needs to reign back the officials and have them less involved in the game.

I don't care who wins in the West but I watched the Rockets get robbed today. Van Gundy said something at the end like "they called the [landing space] rule consistently today," which is total crap.

Even the halftime commentary was surprised they weren't calling this. Houston relies on this particular rule more than most teams because they shoot more 3s than anyone else. It was 100% the difference in this game.

Get your crap together refs. This was egregious.

They should have blown the whistle last possession, Warriors are so unlikeable I hope who ever comes out of the East whoops their ass.

I am pretty sure what he meant was that the landing space call was consistent all day - meaning they consistently didn't call it and a foul shouldn't have necessarily been expected at the end.

Anyway, bummer - I don't love Houston, but I def wanna see the Ws go down. Guess Harden and the boys have to pull themselves back up and go strong next game.

It amazes me how Zaza Pachulia's cheap move on Leonard brought more attention to the idea of "landing space" and such, and yet the refs continue to ignore this against the team that had Zaza that same year. Ironic ::)

Literally the refs don't care that the Warriors players are all making contact and leaning into the Rockets player WHILE they are taking a shot. Horrible.

not to get ahead of myself, but Golden State is the only team we beat this season among the remaining western playoff squads. Is my memory on that correct?

Believe so. We beat them once on the road (that blowout win when things were looking bad up to that point) and then lost another close one to them at home very early in the year.

Lost to all the other teams though (Portland, Denver, Houston).

I didn't watch the game. Just looking at the box score and the minutes standout for Golden State.

43 minutes for Durant
40 minutes for Draymond
41 minutes for Klay
37 minutes for Steph
34 minutes for Iggy

That is going to be hard for Golden State to maintain throughout the rest of the playoffs. Today's players aren't used to playing big minutes regularly anymore.

GSW are getting nothing from their bench.

They are 6 players deep (Shaun Livingston). Too reliant on their main guys. Definitely vulnerable this year.
