The more talented team won that one.
Denver vs Portland should be wild!

Hopefully Kanter plays, otherwise they’re stuck with Meyers Leonard and Zach Collins

Denver should get rolled by Portland. And then Portland gets owned by Houston.

Different team, same results. Derozan is not a big time player.

A former Raptor, that's all you need to know. Choking under pressure.

Question is if Golden State gets by Houston, which team poses a bigger threat to them in the WCF?

Denver or Portland?

Whoever wins the GSW/HOU series wins the NBA Finals.

But to answer your question, Denver. This is where missing Nurkic becomes fatal for Portland.

Do they have Labissiere in a break glass emergency?

Hell no. I'd say there are 3 teams in the East that can beat both.. Raptors, Bucks and Celtics.

The Raptors are so otherworldly right now they are making mince meat of the Sixers who have retooled to be tough.

I like how Siakam has developed his game in the same mold as how KH molded his during his time with the Spurs... Mark my words a vastly complete Raptors this year is going to be hard to beat even for KD and or Harden.

Agree. Kawhi is perhaps the best defender in the league, and he doesn't shy away from the big assignments. That's a big headache for Harden / Durant. Throw in the fact that they have a second elite wing defender in Siakam + two very solid but different defensive big men in Gasol and Ibaka and you have a real problem for either Houston or Golden State. For the record, I think Houston will get through and face Portland.

Then you have the Bucks, who have Giannis surrounded by some elite shooting, and us. I think people are sleeping on us because of our slow regular season, but we have the talent and the coaching to go with anyone.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Completely agree. Boston, Milwaukee and Toronto are all capable of beating GSW in a playoff series. I wonder if all 3 should even be favoured over the Warriors in a playoff series.

Certainly, I think Boston should be. Boston is the most talented team in the league with Cousins out for GSW. I haven't thought as much about the other two but I am tempted to favour them over GSW in a series as well. Definitely capable of beating them even if not the favourite.

Houston is the only team in the West capable of beating GSW. I don't think Portland or Denver have a prayer against Golden State.

Philly either. They cannot beat any of the other 3 teams in the East anyway so it doesn't matter how they might fare against GSW.

Golden State are vulnerable.

Someone could say though that the Cs may look great on paper probably the best but we haven't actually seen this on the floor.

At this point i d rank only raptors at the same level as GS and then Rockets and Celtics.

Raptors win the chip , its maybe still only a 50/50 chance KL remains in Toronto.

If KL and KD are in the east ....plus who they bring is a major power shift back east .  I suspect the NBA would like to see KD and KL stay in the east.

If the Raptors reach as far as the ECF.. A first for them or even the Finals then there really is no reason for KL to bolt... If he does that then he will be the biggest idiot..of course what do I know, championship isn't the motive since he is already a champion, maybe being home does trump everything as far ar Kawhi is concerned.
As for KD, all I know is he will definitely leave the Warriors.. No way he stays on a team where he is considered second fiddle to Steph even though many times he has carried the team through. I fully expect the Clippers and Knicks in a tug of war for his services.. But he will probably choose Clippers since they are a lethal superstar away from Contending.. Heck the Clippers gave the Warriors some scare with team of scrubs and LW.

Kawhi's a different dude. He could very well leave if they do win it all. Actually, I think his narrative gets more interesting. That would give him 2 championships with 2 different teams like Lebron. Imagine if he went to the Clippers and bought a championship to LA before Lebron?

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

I wouldn't like that because it means we aren't the team winning, but man, that would be an alright consolation
