I didn't watch the game. Just looking at the box score and the minutes standout for Golden State.

43 minutes for Durant
40 minutes for Draymond
41 minutes for Klay
37 minutes for Steph
34 minutes for Iggy

That is going to be hard for Golden State to maintain throughout the rest of the playoffs. Today's players aren't used to playing big minutes regularly anymore.

GSW are getting nothing from their bench.

They are 6 players deep (Shaun Livingston). Too reliant on their main guys. Definitely vulnerable this year.

Wait what!?

I commented on another thread saying we needed to manage Kyrie's minutes a bit better since he had been going 37-38 MPG during the Pacers series (a lot). Tatum was around 36 MPG as well.

But wow Durant, Draymond and Klay went 40+. Also Klay was hobbled with an ankle injury so that's pretty impressive.

Playoff basketball means 40+ MPG for stars. It's almost always been that way.

First Budenholzer whining about not getting enough calls, then this:

Quote
"I mean, I just want a fair chance, man," said Harden, who scored 35 points but was only 9-of-28 from the floor and 4-of-16 from the 3-point line. "Call the game how it's supposed to be called and that's it. And I'll live with the results."

Sure, Harden.  If the game was called "how it's supposed to be called", you wouldn't get to the free throw line nearly as often as you do.  Same for Giannis.  The blatant pushoffs, travels, and other crap you get away with could easily be called against you.  That's how it's supposed to be called, actually.

Too much entitlement from star players (and now coaches like Budenholzer, apparently) when you give them preferential treatment.  Enough is enough.

At least in this game, he has a point. The dude could've easily been injured the way they were contesting his 3-point attempts, and he didn't get the calls.

Yes, on some of them.  There was also some flopping on the Rockets' part.  Harden kicked out his legs Reggie Miller style on one 3 point attempt and on one attempt Chris Paul apparently decided that he'd rather land on his butt than land on his feet before he even released the ball.

Yeah, I hate that foul hunting style of play. I'll be very happy if the refs call the playoffs like they did yesterday. Giannis and Hardin are too good to get all thee crazy bailout calls. One of my favorite things about Kyrie is that he try to make every shot and not flail trying to draw a foul every time down the floor. It's the playoffs, time to put on your big boy pants NBA!

This x100. I have many criticisms of Kyrie but complaining, flopping, faking is certainly not one.

I also hate the style.  I almost don't care what rules they call to, so long as they call it fair for all players and both teams.  Horford and tatum get mugged with no call, and GA gets looked at cross eyed and gets to the line.  Harden is probably least favorite player in the league for this reason.  He is smart, as the FA attempts make him a MVP candidate every year, but take 2/3 of those away and is he really better than westbrook?

Mostly in the second half. My thing is not even whether they were getting the fouls or not, my main issue is that I've never seen an "en masse" attempt to take someone's landing space in such a dangerous manner in my life, and to not get ANY (pretty much) calls on those was incredibly bad mostly because of how they can easily injure someone.

And let's not forget, Golden State has some precedent of injuring players in this manner.

The last one with Green defending Harden was a good no call.  Green went almost 100% up and down while Harden moved forward like 3 feet and flailed his legs out.  That was not a foul and was correctly called as no foul.  Paul though was fouled while he was going out to the 3 point line and Harden was fouled on at least one other 3 point attempt when his feet were taken out from under him (and that one wasn't called and should have been).

Inconsistency is the problem.

Yeah, looked to me like Harden kicked his legs out trying to create contact. That's a good no call.

Too much focus has been given to that last play, when the complaint has been just about everything leading up to it, which was atrocious... and no one (outside of probably Rockets' fans/people) has issues with how that last Harden play was called.

Who we got winning today? I think Raptors win by 8-10, maybe a strong first quarter by 76ers but just don't think they have the horsepower to stay close all game. I have no feel on the Denver Portland goal. i guess I could see Portland stealing the game, but some teams really struggle to play in Denver.
