I can't believe Lebron wanted things to turn out like this?  Was getting to LA so much more important than basketball related things?  I guess we need to wait and see how their roster ends up, but right now it looks nothing like a real contender.

I am happy for Rondo - he is always underpaid for what he actually provides a team. I am not happy he is joining the Lakers and would be devastated if he helps them beat us (or anybody) for a championship.

It looks to me like LAL is just trying to put together the best possible 'one-year' team this year to be competitive for Lebron and try again in FA next year when they will once again have a ton of cap space.

I am actually bummed about Lance - I thought he would have made a perfect Smart replacement.

That would actually be smart for Boogie to do so. Rondo/LBJ will feed him easy shots, but I don't think it would be wise for NO to let both of their free agents walk away like that.

For what it is worth, Davis just bought a house outside of LA.

Per TMZ Sports, Davis spent $7.5 million on a Westlake Village estate that includes a home theater, gym, infinity pool with water slides and a basketball court.

It's a 90-minute drive to Staples Center, where the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers play. The Pelicans don't have much incentive to deal their star forward right now, especially after they just won their first playoff series last season for the first time since 2007-08 (as the Hornets).

Davis is also under contract for three more seasons, so it will likely be a few years before he could even entertain the possibility of playing basketball in Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Lakers are in advanced discussions with free agent C DeMarcus Cousins w/ recruiting help by recently acquired Rajon Rondo. It will come down to Pelicans/Lakers, a source tells me.
