The wheels to the off season fireworks are now in motion

https://theathletic.com/1006765/2019/06/04/charanias-inside-pass-all-eyes-on-davis-and-pelicans-future-as-their-talks-begin-to-take-shape-plus-more-league-notes/

David Griffin has begun listening to trade offers to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Pelicans had previously been trying to pitch Davis to stay with the franchise. Davis can be offered a supermax extension this offseason.

Griffin had hoped to convince Davis to drop his trade request by selling him on his vision for the future.

The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets are believed to have the best trade packages, according to rival executives. Davis has the Lakers, Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks on his list.

Brroooooooo, there’s like a 160 page AD trade thread where this is already being discussed. Why create a whole new thread and clog up the forums more?! Lol

I agree but people ignore the thread if the news isn't in the title. The thread can always be merged but its nice for people who don't want to sift through 160 pages for news

This is a little bit more major. I feel like the real clutter are trump Russian conspiracy hoax threads lol

The more I hear AD ties into Boston, the more I think and feel he's going to the Lakers. That's just how it usually works!

Yep, completely agree. That thread has gotten to the ridiculous point. I know this has already been talked about in that thread (thanks for being all over the initial announcement jpotter :), but I would have liked to see if this thread idea could grow on its own for a couple of days before being merged.

I get that there are fluff threads all over the place, but there are literally only two things people care about right now - Kyrie and AD - and everything is stuffed into those two threads. Fresh thread titles are always more inviting than old stale ones.

I personally wouldn't mind the mods starting another new, "fresh" AD merge thread lol. I don't blame anyone for kind of just rolling their eyes at this point at that 160+ page thread which is pretty much filled with arguing and repetitive reports  :P

and here we go...im thinking either Celtics or Knicks..they not trading him to a Western team
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Don't count out the Clippers. Jerry West has an amazing track record of getting these kind of moves done.

Keep an eye on Brooklyn.

Allen, Dinwiddie, Kurucs, 17+27th Pick May get it done. Would have to add Crabbes contract as filler.

I don’t think that beats out the Celtics worst trade scenario.

People keep saying the Clips, but I just don’t see them being a true contender for him. They’re pretty clearly a distant fourth, I think, especially with how much variability there would be with their package.

Agree entirely. We can beat their players. We can beat their picks.

The Knicks are a little more interesting because they will be a zillion dollars under the cap so filler is not absolutely necessary. If NO just wants #3, Robinson, Knox, and Smith plus future Dallas picks, it's easy to do. They could also have the Knicks take Moore and Hill. That would be $21 million in salary for 2019-2020 off the books for NO for those two players. This would probably limit NYK to only one more max contract, but they might be willing.
