Griffin has officially started listening to offers for Davis after his attempts to get Davis to stay have seemingly failed.

Time to put up or shut up, Danny!

A little over two weeks from now, I suspect this Davis saga will be over.  Trade will be done on or before draft night.

Should give us a lot more clarity about what the plan is moving forward for the Celts.

Looks like the sweepstakes are beginning.

Shams: As teams continue placing calls on Anthony Davis, Pelicans and executive VP David Griffin have begun listening to teams, league sources told @TheAthleticNBA.

There's also this tidbit on Morris:

Quote
League sources say Morris remains open-minded about returning to Boston, which wants to bring Morris back but has several summer priorities such as Kyrie Irving.

Hopefully.

It'd be nice to know one way or the other. Of course if the C's do trade for him then I'll be stressed till Kyrie signs the dotted line after the moratorium.

It's hard for me to see Kyrie walking away from Davis and a good remaining core, minus some of the pieces that didn't mesh last year. If Kyrie wants a different situation, he'll have one in Boston just as much as leaving for another team.

After his preseason address to the season ticket holders and the commercial with his dad I thought we were good.

Now I have no faith in anything until its signed.

But there is no place like home. You don’t often get a chance to play where you want to play. The Knicks and nets have an opportunity to bring him in and build a team around him. That’s not an offer you can pass up easily. Yea Boston can kind of do this, but the NY teams are literally handing him the keys.

If Danny needs salary filler, does he have to wait until draft night, so those selected picks count towards the outgoing salary for Davis? Or do those 2019 draft picks already have a salary value, since their draft slot is now determined?

Also, I have a question regarding Kyrie. How much salary could Kyrie have received if he stayed with Cleveland versus what Boston can pay him now, or a new team this off season. I know he gave up on a bigger contract by requesting a trade from Cleveland. I’m just curious as to how much additional money he would have to leave on the table by potentially leaving Boston too.

If KD's going to NY as well then Kyrie isn't getting any keys lol.

I believe if they want to use the salary in a trade they’d have to sign and wait thirty days I believe to execute the trade.

We will see. Uncle Drew is a huge draw for NY. Win or lose Kyrie is selling tickets.

This is correct. 1st rounders have a cap hold, but count as $0 for salary matching until they are signed (and then 30 days pass so thy are eligible to be traded)
I'm bitter.
