Anyone they trade for is gone in 2 months if they just don't want to deal with the Lakers....not those 3 premium picks though. AD already said he was out so it takes that pressure off them.
We don't have 3 premium picks and your original post said to exclude the Kings pick.  Kyrie is worthless to NOP.  3 picks isn't that much of an offer for AD.  Plenty of teams could make competitive offers and there are plenty of good players who could be traded to NOP who won't be gone in 2 months.

So name those teams and players? No playoff team is going to tear it down for AD. No one has the flexibility with players and picks that the Celtics have. What team has 4 possible #1 picks?
Your original post referred to Irving and 3 picks but not the Kings pick and not other players.  That is just not a particularly good offer for AD considering NOP has zero chance of re-signing Kyrie and the picks aren't that good.

We don't have 4 possible #1 picks.  We have our own late 1st rounders, the Clips 1st that is lottery protected for the next 2 seasons and then converts to a 2nd, the Kings pick that is #1 protected and looks like it will be late lottery and the Memphis pick which doesn't become unprotected until 2021.

Portland could start an offer around McCollum and Nurkic.  Denver has plenty of young talent that could be moved starting with Murray.

I highly doubt DA cares at all what AD’s father thinks. Then again all that truly matters is how much his father influences him.

Hahaha, bc AD is showing so much loyalty right now. Pot calling kettle black.

But really I’m glad this is coming out because I felt that Celtics fans were just starting to calm down a little. Now they have something new to wring their hands and cry woe is me about.

Don’t worry folks. LaVar will release a statement soon saying “Lonzo won’t play for no Pelicans” and then that screws the Lakers and their trade package offers  :P

The really frustrating part of all of this is that if we trade for AD we’ll be dealing with this circus all next season. So glad the Cs have become the media’s punching bag.

There really isn't a fair comparison between AD's trade demand and Danny trading IT.  AD gave them the first 7 seasons of his career.  It's better that he asks out now instead of leaving during free agency.

As for IT, his hip injury is a major reason why people have a negative perception of the trade.  The situation sucked because he helped recruit free agents to Boston.  IT is the only player who hasn't benefited from his own contributions to our team.  We all understand that Ainge needed to make the trade, but that doesn't mean that people are wrong for having negative feeling about it.

Lol yeah, talk about a lack of perspective and realization how hypocritical and ignorant he sounds given his son just asked for a trade. 😂

Let’s also not gloss over the fact of who is reporting this - Ramona Shelburne, a LA based reporter for ESPN. 🤔

Seriously, the league should be investigating ClutchSports. This is getting ridiculous.

That’s the first thing the Lakers have put out that actually gives them leverage. Ainge will not trade for someone that truly doesn’t want to come. If AD shares his dads view that throws a wrench into things.

I'm at the point where I could care less if Davis wants to come to Boston.  I've always been okay with the idea of moving forward with Irving, Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Horford, and Smart.

His dad isn’t wrong about the loyalty part, and Davis made comments about the IT trade at the time.

At the same time, the Pelicans have been nothing but loyal to Davis, and we see where that’s gotten them.

As I mentioned above, I really don't think it's fair to compare the two.  Davis has put in the better part of 7 season with the Pelicans.  It's better that he asks for a trade instead of bailing during unrestricted free agency.  I really can't blame him for wanting to move on.

The IT situation was an entirely different scenario because of his injury.  IT basically recruited two free agents for nothing.

I’m okay with it too.  Unfortunately it’s probably not enough.

Anthony Davis is the pinnacle of loyalty.  ::)

Of course, that message was relayed to an LA based reporter.
