If Hayward is not going to be available even deep into the playoffs, I haven't been in favor of bringing in talent in exchange for anything other than money, but if you can get Monroe for just cash and Evans for basketball assets, that's a pretty tempting talent infusion. We shouldn't criticize Monroe, however, if he chooses to go home to New Orleans and probably get big minutes for short money as opposed to questionable minutes and lots of money from the Celtics. That would be a sign of character, something that's becoming rarer and rarer in pro sports.
