Ainge should cough up that top-55 protected pick already so that we can all go on with our lives...

He shouldn't cough up anything.

Really? You wanna pump your chest out and play big man on campus while Kyrie goes to Milwaukee?

Do you really think Cleveland is doing this so they can get a second round pick out of it?

I always believed that Cleveland should rescind the trade and I ultimately believe that is where it ends up.

It is clear that they had buyer's remorse and it is likely that came from Lebron, who does not want to play a fraction (or more) of the season without a playmaker on the floor.

It really is an amazing situation.

  • GOT IT!!!
This whole thing is just bad mismanagement. Please do not ever do any trades with Cleveland ever again.

So, at this point it seems likely that the 10 am deadline is going to come and go without anything happening, meaning that we've all been stressing about this the last week or so for nothing  ::)

According to @wojespn on @espn, #Cavs no longer seeking additional compensation from #Celtics to complete Kyrie Irving/Isaiah Thomas trade.

That's nice.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Not for nothing. It gave everyone a peek into an alternate universe where it didn't go through and made us appreciate it for the good deal that it is.

Is the deal actually dead now?

I think they can still technically void the deal but I'm not saying any justification why they would. They're getting a tremendous trade package better than anything anyone else can offer.

If I had to guess, we will hear the news tonight whether the deal passed, whether the deadline was extended, or if they Voided it. Its looking like it will pass and we got kyrie

No, it's seemingly a done deal as it was originally reported.

Its a bit odd that Woj tweeted that the Cavs are no longer seeking compensation but he didn't clearly state that they are going ahead with the deal. He's a professional writer, he knows the difference in that wording

True, and it highlighted the extent of IT's injury, which made the deal look even better for us.

the cavs haven't officially decided what to do. Until they've submitted the approval and waive the physical as well, then woj can report the deal is done. His reputation is on the line.
