Boston had a very good offseason, but it certainly could have been a lot better. George is a difference maker on this team, instead Boston let him go to another team for what was basically peanuts.
Yeah I think this is about right.
Getting Hayward was great and I don't think you can knock him too much for the Tatum selection at this point. But you do have to not me that they came into the offseason shooting for 2 stars and they came away with one while they watched 2 targets go for very reasonable prices to other teams.
You've got to see some penalty for that in their grade. Terrific job nonetheless.
I give them a pass on Butler, given Chicago wanted a pick in the draft (and thus the trade had to be made at or before the draft) and also other players. So while Crowder, Smart, and 3 (as an example) is fine value for Butler in a vacuum, it would have made getting Hayward impossible. A trade for George would not have made getting Hayward impossible, so I think there is some real blame on Boston not getting George.
