S/o to Koz for criticizing Hayward for never playing more than 80 games in a regular season...

Dude has missed: 10, 0, 10, 5, 6, 2, and 9 games in his career.

This blog man...

More than 80 games is a ridiculously stupid bar. Lebron James hasn't played more than 80 games since he was 24 and that was the only time in his career that he did it.
Which is why we never wanted Lebron while he was in his prime.

Yeah, calling Gordon oft injured is one of the more ridiculous things I have read on this board.

He's quoted the same number about Hayward before, gotten the same response, and has chosen to post it again.

I don't like Griffin's value proposition: near-max deal for an injury prone player approaching his 30's who is dependent on his athleticism/leaping ability. I'm not psyched about George for this team either (I think we should build for the future), but Griffin has DNP written all over him. I don't want to cash in on our flexibility for Griffin.
But you're ok with 75-games-a-season Hayward then? Odd.
Has it escaped your notice that almost every nba start misses 5 or 10 games a year, even those who stay generally healthy?

It's nonsense and trolling, and none of us need to pay attention to it. Koz is LarBrd33 without the wit and substance.

I don't notice Koz doing ridiculous takes all that often, but this one makes no sense to me. The game is changing and players have better careers and last longer with a few games of rest here and there.
Call me old fashioned, but I want my guys to be able to play every game, every season. Especially in their prime, and especially if we're paying them a ton of dough.

Excluding one season when he had a major injury, Paul Pierce missed a grand total of 11 games between ages 23 and 31. He had 14 highly efficient seasons in his career. It can be done.

I guess they don't make them like they used to anymore. Oh well.

The Lakers and Hawks got B's for just doing nothing stupid.  In their current state, I'm not sure why the Lakers and Hawks would even count as notable teams.

It's lol-funny if you imagine it read a certain way.

Yes. I'm sure you have fond memories from your younger days, watching Pud Galvin and Old Hoss Radbourn battle it out for 650 innings a year.

I am starting to have this feeling Fultz is going to be a bust.
If by bust, you mean he won't become a franchise player than you are most likely correct.  Otherwise, it is hard not to see him being at least a good NBA starter for a long time.  That would be a disappointment for a #1 pick but not a bust.

To tell you the truth, I like Hayward's game better than I do Paul George's.

Journalists have to make a living in the offseason too.

PS Roy, I thought you wanted us to trade for PG? (honest question)

I do think Danny should have traded for Paul George. If Indy's final demands were reported accurately, then I think Danny made a mistake.

But, when grading the off-season, I'm looking at the team we're putting on the floor. I don't think it's fair to judge Danny against only one possible set of outcomes. Sure, we could have gotten George. We also could have taken Jackson at #1, or messed up the Hayward presentation.

I'd give the total package anywhere from a B to an A, based upon where Fultz and Tatum end up career wise. There's no way that a team that adds an all-star and a top-3 pick only had an average (or below) off-season.

We had a good summer, but we have the assets to have had a great summer. The right contingency promise for Butler or George after landing Hayward might have given us another star.

The two timeline thing is just stupid to most people following the sport. One more star on this roster and you're a real contender, yet Ainge clutches Brown and Tatum. Butler or George are more valuable to our contending core.

Ainge is hoarding the assets, no other way about it.

Hahaha the bulls got an A? They drafted a guy who went 1-13 shooting tonight and 0-10 from the 3. M

Beware of agendas. Nobody ever accuses the media of being objective in today's world. It's opinion that attracts the attention.

GMs don't take those media grades very seriously--if they read them at all.

Its a flop if you expect the Celtics to try and cash in now to try and win a title. AInge isn't an idiot and knows The GSW are unbeatable this coming year and probably the year after. After this year though when Lebron heads West and Klay Thompson is traded/leaves....I think Ainge cashes in.
