This makes no sense. The Celtics aren't just going to gift Crowder to the Jazz because they feel bad.

Yeah, the only way a sign and trade makes sense is if we are keeping Smart, AB, and Crowder (as in not sending them out for Hayward). Then we can either keep them for the rest of the season or look to deal for a big without a deadline approaching

yeah, but this will open up more minutes for Tatum and Brown to develop. maybe the jazz include some protected pick

Okay, there is NO WAY we are giving up Crowder for essentially free.

SOMETHING has to give.

We still can't keep AB, Smart and Crowder because we still need some bigs.

We could still get Faried, O'Quinn, Vucevic.

Unless the Jazz would be sending a big as part of the deal, it makes way more sense to keep the 3 of them and look to deal one (or two) of them for a big later

Please take my TP.

Absolutely agree. This makes no sense for us, and it's very stupid that we are even considering it if this is true.

the market for Crowder might not be as wide as you think

Danny probably tried to trade him for assets...but teams that were interested only could do a trade by matching salary

and/or Danny didn't want to also give up on Rozier just meet cap space requirements to sign Hayward

Hopefully the Celts can get at least a few 2nd round picks out of this...but I doubt it

A S&T for Crowder makes the most sense for both teams.

Unless we are getting back Hayward + another contract as well? It can't be Favors cause he is getting way more than Crowder so we wouldn't be under the cap at the end of the trade.

I refuse to believe that a player like Jae Crowder, with his salary numbers, is not even going to get a 2nd rounder.

How does it make "the most sense" for us?
