Yeah, there are some pompous, terrible negotiators around here.  You got to give to get.

I feel great.  Griffin wants to lock in max money with his injury problems and George CLEARLY has not made any commitment to stay in OKC.  They're just bringing him in on a hope that one year with Westbrook with convince him to stay.  If he bolts, OKC just made a huge mistake they will be years recovering from.

Now, if Hayward blows us off to go to Miami...

By losing Oladipo and Sabonis? Big freaking deal.

Feelin' great. We didn't waste a valuable asset on a guy who wasn't going to re-sign.

PG was traded for basically flotsam and jetsam. Pretty telling that no one was offering anything for him. In other words, he's heading to LA a year from now.

Oladipo was their second leading scorer and Sabonis was a lottery pick last year.  Give them away and have Paul leave after one year?  Yeah, that will sting for a long time.

Yup exactly

Oladipo is  overpaid and Sabonis doesn't have and NBA friendly game

This is literally peanuts, well worth a rental

I'm sure OKC was thrilled to get rid of Oladipo and they know Sabonis is nothing but a role player

In college at Gonzaga (I'm  from spokane) Sabonis was a rebounding post player

Now he's in the NBA jacking up threes LOL

It is well worth the risk for them.  They're at risk of losing Westbrook after next season and Oladipo and Sabonis aren't going to get him to stay.

I feel great..

It's obvious PG wants to be a laker in 18

And OKC is the team who Lost KD (for nothing) so this kind of Move from them is to be expected..

I'm thinking Ainge really loves the 2018 draft.

Ask me how I feel after Hayward makes a decision.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

the bold. Only way I would have wanted to trade for PG would be 1) if Hayward were already on board and 2) if we could extend him before we traded for him. I'm happy DA didnt spend a penny to get some guy who's dead set on being a laker.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

I'm thinking Ainge really loves the 2018 draft.

If he gets the #1 pick, he'll just trade out of it.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman
