Why does anyone think that saris would be better than olynyc in a playoff team?

Because he would be. I like KO, but the dude tries to play like a PG in a Awkward Centers body. Saric is an athletic PF, shoots well from the out side, can go to the hoop, and plays good D.

He's also on the beginning of a rookie contract which frees up some money.

KO shoots better from the outside, is just as good going to the hoop and is probably a better defender right now.

KO is also at least as good as a passer.

Saric is a more confident shooter. He is also a better ball handler and passer than KO.

He's not lights out better than KO. And he has a smoother offensive game. And he's probably going to cost you at least 8mill less a year for the next couple seasons. This is more a business move than basketball move. Might have to move from KO for Hayward, and if you get Saric in a move with the 3rd pick, it's the right move.

You could even flip the 3rd and Crowder for Butler. That would take Miami out of the Hayward game.

Im not sure why there is such an  agenda to push a Saric trade.  Adding Saric in a deal for the Fultz doesnt move the needle at all in addition it adds salary whihch they arent interested in doing before FA. Could we please stop with this lovefest that isnt even remotely realistic?

Can you review the highlights below (Saric handle/passing skills) ... and still with a straight face say KO  has nearly as good handles or passing skills??   KO is mainly comfortable driving/dribbling the ball with his left hand... not strong nor comfortable with his right hand... As well lacks body control when driving

he had 2 assists a game. Same count as his turnovers. A 2 minute video of flashy passing doesnt prove anything. Good passers make the right pass all the time. Kelly does this. Thats why despite having a much lower usage rate he was able to rack up assists at a higher rate with fewer turnovers.

Danny didn't make trades at the deadline last year to preserve cap space to go after a max free agent. That being the case, why would he make this deal and put into jeopardy that cap space. Also, why trade down to pick up another SF. The Cs will be targeting Hayward in free agency. They have Crowder. They have Brown. So they are going to trade down to pick up another SF in Jackson or Tatum? Makes zero sense. This trade will never happen.
