Maybe the warriors have decided to trade us KD?  Or Thompson?  Or Curry?

Yeah, this guy's speculation is about as ridiculous as my speculation.

Nothing is going to happen, lol. We're going to trade for another role player at best.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Thanks foulweather, I didn't catch that part about him being the best player in the team.
I guess if we list the best 25 players and narrow down from there...
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

With Rozier and Young sitting, this points to SAC and Philly who both have a glut of bigs and need smalls.

Danny Ainge fixes the Celtics with an old weird trick other NBA GMs don't want you to know about.

Frankly, I don't think this quack has been clowned nearly long enough or hard enough in this thread. I am disappoint.

Could be just to drive Okafor's value down and make it look like we want Cousins but I doubt it.  I think we are going after cousins.  There were hints before we went hard after Durant and this is no different.

So this guy is good enough to be our best player but not good enough to consider us favorites over the Cavs? Interesting.

Now, I could be WAY off base, but coming out of left field, is there anyway James Harden signed an extension with the intention of Houston trading him?

Armchair GMs hate him.

There is no one player that would make us better than the Cavs outside of Lebron coming here. The Cavs sleepwalk through the regular season because they are that much better than anyone in the East.

Speculating wildly is much more fun to me than dumping on a guy when I don't have enough info to craft personalized burns.  I mean I don't even know how stupid his stupid face looks.

No.  James Harden by rule cannot be traded for six months after the date of his extension.  I think this guy is full of it in general, but I want to clear that up for you.

DA himself said we need a stronger big man. Wyc said we are interested in a difficult player.  Isaiah said last night he is trying to recruit veteran shooters. I feel myself Cousins is who we need. Okafor is not on his level. There are very few players left that can put us on that level. Cousins is it.
Why wouldn't the celtics be trying to get him?

Because he isn't available? Idk, but if this report were true which it isn't, then I would guess Cousins too.

Wstbrook - no.  We have isaiah.
Butler is out.  They just signed dwade and Rondo to keep him for a bit
Durant is out and will most likely return to GS.  We may have been his second choice but he's gone.
Griffin-do you really think Doc is going to trade us Griffin?
Anthony Davis is signed until 2020 and there is no reason for the pelicans to deal him
Paul George - Bird isn't trading him here any time soon.  He has injury issues anyways and isn't a guy who can put us on that level
Hayward - could come here but doesnt make us that by himself. He also isn't moving righ tnow.  Utah is trying to win with him this year
Harden is out
Marc Gasol is not moving at least not right now and there are no signs he will.  They just signed Conley to keep Gasol around for a while.
Lebron no
Curry no
Okafor not good enough. Could be a contingency plan.
Middleton could help us but not good enough

THat's everyone. Towns isnt going anywhere. Wiggins and Parker do nothing for us.  Neither does Noel.  It's either Cousins or we build with what we have and maybe add Hayward to entice someone later.

cousins makes most sense, but he doesn't jibe with the family friendly gist around the rumored player.  Family friendly plus danged good = Butler or Marc Gasol.

Sac loading up on centers though...Do we have enough future assets to trade for Butler and then Cousins afterwards?

Blake Griffin to Chicago, Butler to Celtics, stuff to Clippers?

Gay and a bunch of good stuff to Chicago, Butler to Celtics?  (that would alleviate some of the shooting issues in the Rondo, Wade, Butler backcourt, but a heckuva lot would have to be added to Gay)
