Danny Ainge trikes again.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Does DeAndre Jordan count as a star?

If a radio show hack like this guy says 'every celtics fan will be happy with', my guess is Khris Middleton or Hayward.
Please don't be Hayward.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Wouldn't be surprised if C's are just helping two other teams do a big trade.

Does DeAndre Jordan count as a star?

I'm imclined to say no, but I'm sure there are a ton of people who'd disagree with that.

It'd be interesting and kind of funny though if the Clippers held him hostage and begged him to resign last offseason and then turn around and deal him a year later.

SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan

I would guess at least of quarter of Celtics fans still don't know who Khris Middleton is.

He also said the player would immediately be best on the team.  Hard to say that's true of Middleton or Hayward with 2 2016 All-Stars already here.

This year

Isaiah, Rozier
Bradley, Hunter
Jerebko, Smart
Horford, Yabusele
Cousins, Amir, Mickey

Next year

Isaiah, Rozier
Bradley, Hunter
Hayward, Smart
Horford, Yabusele
Cousins, Zizic, Mickey

dynasty.....  No more soup for Curry..  I'd love to see those battles between us Cleveland, GS and teams like San Antonio. Those are  4 powerhouses.

I guess we can swap Smart, Brown or Jerebko.  Or KO or Yabusele.  But as far as roles it works. We have interchangeable parts somewhat.

That's my preference though.  It's beautiful.

Let's say we do trade for Cousins, gotta think one of Smart/Rozier/Bradley goes out in a deal. The only way I think they trade him now as opposed to next offseason is if they get a deal that blows them away.

I think Rozier is important because he is Isaiah's backup.  He is also the best slasher we have not named Brown and is better right now.  He can get in the teeth of the defense and draw fouls.  He also is insurance if Isaiah gets hurt. We have Smart too.  We also have James young as depth at SF but he isnt close to ready. But doesnt hurt to hang onto young in this instance as a guy to develop there. More of s hooter. Smart can play pg and any guard position and even small forward.  He is the curry killer imo off the bench plus he gives us options going forward.   Yab is a good compliment to our bigs because of how mobile he is even over KO.  KO is more attractive as a trade chip because of his upside imo. I like KO too and his  upside but as far as a role guy Yab would fit really good. Mickey and Amir are good backups too. Each guy brings different things. Hunter is a good shooter. So is Yab.  We might add a veteran shooter to go with this group.

Crowder to me and KO should have pretty good trade value right now.  Brown as  a throwin and a couple picks I'd like to think could get it done. We can really start Jerebko until we get better there.  I feel like Sac is going to want Smart though.  We may keep Brown instead or have to give up both and sign a veteran.  Or even have to give up Bradley.

That's an awful lot though to bank of Cousins.  I'd demand to keep both Smart and Bradley for  now.

C's are playing it coy with this we need a big man and a difficult player stuff.  Trying to get Cousins to demand a trade and put the pressure on them to make a deal.

We can really stand pat and just build with what we have.  The pressure is more on them.  I'd love this to happen but the pressure is still on them.

They aren't going to get more than what we can offer to rebuild there. With WCS there they should want to go young and with picks and cousins is not going to last there.  Trading Cousins for Love does nothing for them.  It does help the Cavs though.

I think these Cousins for Love rumors are just scare tactics.

... although I have to wonder.... could the so-called "star" turn out to be Paul Milsap?  ;D

Boston Hawks?

Blech. Doesn't have the same ring to it.

The Atlantic Hawks is what you're looking for.

He is a character. Last year he tried to tell me on Twitter that the Sox were getting Chris Sale for Blake Swihart and others...

But, of course, "not all trades happen", right?  8) 8) 8)
