Seen nothing of substance to back this rumor up. You'd think that someone else would have picked this up as well. Probably BS

I'll believe the sources who knew Brad Stevens was coming to Boston before it was announced. Anybody know those guys ?

People are taking this guy's "description" of the player way too seriously lol More than likely he is referencing someone like Cousins here. I'm not sure that there's a player out there that meets all of the listed supposed criteria of this player lol

Yeah. If it was legitimate others would have picked up on it, but I also haven't seen anyone else say a peep about this.

I have a difficult time seeing those Sactown nut jobs actually turning Boogie loose.

On top of that, they are so undisciplined that they probably would have leaked something by now, right?  This is the Kings we're talking about. There is no story on SacTown Royalty or the Kings subreddit about Cousins possibly being traded and I don't see anything from a Kings perspective anywhere else, either.  Kings fans don't seem to even realize that there could be a trade.

Not saying this is true but it wouldn't surprise me.  Danny is fishing for a whale. Everything else that's come his way has been tossed back in the ocean for someone else to catch.  I've felt this since draft day.  You see so many players being moved in the past few weeks and wonder why, with all the assets and cash that we have, why not pick up this person or how did that team get that person. The Pacers, Pistons, Magic...all upgrading their roster piece by piece. It's either going to be Russ Westbrook, DC or Blake, but I believe it's going to happen by the end of this week.

Personally I don't need to hear any rumors on Cousins because I think it's been happening for like two seasons now.  I bet Ainge talks to them every so often.  It's not something new, it's been ongoing.

That's exactly what Ainge did with Garnett.  He tried to trade for him about 3 seasons or so before he did.

But this is someone who thinks all the rumor stuff is overblown or made up a lot of times anyways.  I just think Ainge is high on Cousins.  He is a guy you could maybe steal because his rep and I think on the Celtics he would turn that whole image around pretty quick, and start winning a lot more games.

Only other guys it could be are Westbrook or Paul George.  I don't think it is either.  Its Hayward, Boogie or Love. Davis would be the real shocker. I think the ship has sailed on Love too.  He and Horford wouldn't be the greatest defensive combination.
Davis could be had but that's every pick gone. Not that I mind. Brown would go, Rozier would go, Mickey would go. We'd have to take back a contract too. Maybe we have to give them Bradley and take on Evans. I'd still do it. Davis is a future MVP and would be a dynasty by himself in Boston.

Reality is that this guy probably thinks Gallo would be our best player and that's who we are targeting

Can you tell me why New Orleans would ever trade a young, top 10 player in the league for Jae Crowder and a smorgasbord of potentially good picks??

Bingo, TP.  Since draft day? I've actually felt this way for six months or more, going back to the last trade deadline.  Ainge has made it abundantly clear that he wants 'special' players not just good players.  He proved it with Horford.  He's proved it in the past with Garnett.  Now, I know some people will pick out examples of where he traded for or signed just 'good' players.  That is true and I'm sure what he was trying to do was increase the overall talent level of the team, and potentially use that better talent in a trade later for, you guessed it, a special player.  That's the goal.

Because most teams that trade a superstar for picks get bad picks back, as the team's picks improve with the addition of the superstar.  The Nets picks are some of the only picks in the League that are valuable like that (the other being the 76ers owned Lakers' pick and potentially our Grizzlies pick).  The Kings aren't going to win a championship and with Gay and Rondo leaving, they probably aren't even sniffing the playoffs.  They should just try to get a bunch of high draft picks and start over.  I'm saying that completely objectively.

What happens if they trade him for another superstar?  They're still a bad team.  Like who can you even trade him to otherwise?  Nuggets for Gallo + Jokic?  Do you want Blake Griffin when you don't have a PG?  Kevin Love is going to put up identical stats for you and yet you'll still lose more games while the Cavs will give you the 29th pick or so.  If they stand pat, then Cousins will be good and you'll be a bad team and that's it.  At least with the Nets' picks you can synch up all your young guys.

They don't - especially when that player is just starting out a 5 year extension. Some posters are just in fantasy land.

Was there anyone? Wasn't it just a press release?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

The Pelicans are sick of having Anthony Davis. They want to trade the best young center in the game for the CHANCE to get the NEXT Anthony Davis.

They just love the excitement of giving away sure things for the chance to some day get exactly what they had already. Don't you see?  ::)
