Assuming it's accurate (which is always more fun even though of course they're usually not), it sounds like Cousins to me.  Adding to the speculation, wonder if we're working on a 3-way with Philly where Sacramento could get Okafor and their swap rights with Philly back (among other things) so they can have a replacement young C and tank this year.

Kind of have a hard time believing they'll deal one high maintenance center for another high maintenance center.

Counterpoint: Sacramento.  But I think the pick rights would be the bigger prize for them as they're smart enough to realize they're going from bad to godawful as soon as Cousins leaves town.

On one hand, that makes sense, because that would give them a franchise cornerstone to build around at the C position. On the other hand, the last two years they've been stockpiling centers like they're going out of business, so it makes less sense to have your main return from a Cousins trade be even more center prospects.

But combining that shady logic with the fact that it's the Sacramento Kings, and you're probably spot on lol

I still think a Sacramento/Cleveland/Boston three-way trade makes sense with Cousins, Love, and Bradley as the main pieces switching teams.

I'd also think it be a bit of a mistake to not give the starting C spot to WCS if Cousins is traded. He showed a lot of potential last season and seems like the exact type of player Joerger could coach up.

This is pretty much useless...unless he's willing to provide more details (or a name), we really have nothing to base this on.

I don't know.  A Horford and Cousins front line is based on logic and reason that it will beat GS and Cleveland.    Plus Kevin Mchale.

The only way we can compete is to go big and not just halfass it.  We need to go BIG.

I wanted this before the Durant rumors even.  We tried but this feels right to me.

Sick of seeing Lebron overpower smaller people in the paint and curry shoot over weak defense.

Give me Isaiah and our guards plus 2 big men and a sf that can score fairly consistently and defend.

Going. It would work only because we have the elite perimeter defenders in Bradley, Crowder and Smart to shut down GS and Cleveland while Horford and Cousins punish them inside.

I do wonder though... If you believe reports, Al didn't want to play with Dwight so you have to wonder how he'd feel about playing with Cousins.

This should be easy to guess. He says every Celtics fan will like him. That rules out almost every player past present or future. Clearly it's Anthony Davis. Anyone not like him? Come on, own up..

I don't like him.

Guess it must be Towns.

There's always one..  ;)

Towns it is. Unless... Anyone not a fan of Towns?

I don't like Towns.  Must be Simmons.

Now we've hit a loop because I dislike Simmons!

it isnt celtics blog unless at least one poster disagrees with whatever it is being discussed, "world peace = good thing" included.

i hate towns. too tall so my neck would hurt looking up at him.

besides, can he make the celtics world champions for a decade all by himself?

besides, he has a hyphenated first name! who has that? it makes it harder for me to type his name.

besides, ainge sucks and screwed up by not trading draft picks with minnesota 7 years ago so the celtics could have chosen him. now the celtics have to pay to get someone they should have had. ainge probably would have screwed that up anyway.

towns sucks.  ;D

Right what we need to do is hire some geneticists, fly them (and some of us) into Boston and create the perfect CelticsBlog player. Then all we need to do is wait 18 years, work out how to send someone back in time, create a backstory for this guy and boom, we have the guy Lifshatz is talking about.
I mean, maybe that's already happened, he's already gone back in time  :o

Too bad he just retired, because there can't be a Celtics fan who hates Duncan.  He reminds us of pain, but the anger is largely directed at David Stern and draft lotto gods.  How could anyone hate Duncan?

This year

Isaiah, Rozier
Bradley, Hunter
Jerebko, Smart
Horford, Yabusele
Cousins, Amir, Mickey

Next year

Isaiah, Rozier
Bradley, Hunter
Hayward, Smart
Horford, Yabusele
Cousins, Zizic, Mickey

dynasty.....  No more soup for Curry..  I'd love to see those battles between us Cleveland, GS and teams like San Antonio. Those are  4 powerhouses.

I guess we can swap Smart, Brown or Jerebko.  Or KO or Yabusele.  But as far as roles it works. We have interchangeable parts somewhat.

That's my preference though.  It's beautiful.

Hopefully Brown and Smart are getting traded. Get rid of these bricklayers.

Let's say we do trade for Cousins, gotta think one of Smart/Rozier/Bradley goes out in a deal. The only way I think they trade him now as opposed to next offseason is if they get a deal that blows them away.
