 I warned Ainge about taking this kid third. Right now the #58 pick in the draft And Nader is better than Brown. Dead serious Nader knows how to play and he's athletic.

 Brown can jump big deal. He's a basketball moron. It's only going to get worse people against the real Nba bigs. He can blow buy his defender and then get stuffed or throw up a brick at the rim.

 I'm so mad about the pick it's ridiculous. He's thrown away both Brooklyn picks on guys that can't play James Young and now Jaylen the Bum Brown.

 Anybody supporting this argument gets a Tp.
 We could have added Horford and Dunn and been much better off. I'm p---ed.

I hate the pick, too. I gave up on Ainge as a drafter, though. Honestly believe he just tries to be "cute" by reaching on guys in the event that one exceeds expectations and makes him look like a genius. How else can you explain his repetition of "reaches" that never pan out?

Plus he's aggressive and fearless (sometimes stupidly so) driving to the basket. He had a couple of real good drive and kicks in this game.

4000+ posts and no clue about evaluating basketball players. Nice work. Kid has a WAY above average BBIQ, He's playing within his game and doing the right things with kids all over the court playing for their basketball lives playing way too fast and making mistakes on every play.

Summer League is gross basketball. It's not good. It's a million d-leaguers tring to show they belong with the draftees. In that perspective, Jaylen is playing fine. He's not ball hogging and realizing that you get more of a notice playing d which he is doing effortlessly. Cut the crap and relax.

He's a 19 year old kid, playing in a game with little organization. He was drafted for his upside.

Are we writing off all the guys who have had poor games in summer league? Bender, Ingram, Murray?

I agree that Brown doesn't look like Booker out there, but he is filling up the stat sheet and he is locked in on defense. I realize it is hard to be patient, and being patient doesn't always work out (see Young), but we are going to have to give Brown a couple of years to work out his offensive game.

Welp.  This is the second time in three games, iirc, where Brown hasn't made a shot in the first half.  Not good.  Oh well, let's hope for a better second half, and for Jackson, too.  At least RJ is hitting his shots.
