A lot of you guys are going to love Brown.  This reaction is very silly.
hes got some size and he's 19.  I'm happy with it.  I heard he's a poor man's Winslow.  Ainge obviously wanted a guy like that.

I really didn't want to take some 23 year old 6'3 player.   We are good on little guys.

I heard he is justice winslow 2.0

Guys, just imagine the Smart, Bradley, Crowder, Brown, Mickey lineup.

They'll get a million steals and never score outside of transition.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

This reminds me of when we passed on Tony Parker---when EVERYONE said we should take him.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I like Brown I really do.  I think the kid is going to be good.....but why was there no trade down available???  They could've gotten him at 6 or so.  Another year of nothing moves wise?  Just select all these guys and hope you hit gin?

I think he is a rich man's Winslow. But could also end up being Jeff Green.

I like the pick, I think he is better than the rest of the pack, more athletic, he seems smart and mature, just question his toughness.

Hey if ainge likes jaylen Brown more than Noel + Covington + two late 1sts, he must be pretty special.

So I'm cool with it.   Looking forward to the next few years of waiting to see him take a leap.

In the D-League?
Probably.

Wyc basically said there are no trades going on, they didn't work out.

They never do.

I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football.

I think this calls for support from a gif

So happy we have Ainge.  You guys would take every crappy offer we have gotten.  Teams know we have a lot and know Ainge has killed trades so they try to low ball us all day.  Forget them.

i bet you own a kelly o jersey.

Brown really could end up being one of the three best players in this draft.

Question he has to answer is, can he get by NBA guards and wings, or will he only be able to score against bigs? Also, who does he defend at next level? If he can switch onto guards and wings and hold his own against smaller frontcourt players, he could be something.

Or he might be a shorter Harrison Barnes.

Pho, are we somewhat on the same page? That doesn't happen very often.

He does have the talent to be one of the best guys from this draft. Where I'd disagree is whether or not he can improve is shot and his handle a bit. If he has an outside shot he's going to kill opposing teams.

As for his defense, I'm not worried. He's already good and he has the athleticism to play with anyone.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

What??

Crowder or Bradley and Dunn for butler? Not that crappy imo
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Dude on Twitter points this out:

"Last 8 Celtics first round picks:

MarShon Brooks
Jared Sullinger
Fab Melo
Kelly Olynyk
Marcus Smart
James Young
Terry Rozier
R.J. Hunter"

Meh

Funny how Dunn is now at 5th pick...too much Dunn, Dunn, Dunn and of course Celtics and Suns don't pick him..Bender talk was quiet as a mouse over past week...Knew he was gonna get snagged no later than 5...

Danny puts a lot of power in the personal workouts...No doubt Brown won him over there in his killer workout...Bender must have laid a big egg this past Tuesday in Boston...
most of the stuff you read heading into the draft is nonsense.  The Dunn as consensus 3rd best player narrative happened out of nowhere.  A week ago it was established that it was a crap shoot.

No one was talking about Dunn as the third pick or the third best player a week or so ago.  He just suddenly shot up.

I'm happy we took Brown.  Dunn averaged almost as many turnovers as points when he was Brown's age.  Brown is going to get better.  His game is raw.  In games I watched him play late in the season, the commentators were raving about how much he improved during the season.  He has good size and is an explosive athlete.  His 77 3 pointers made in his workout is a nice sign.

This thread should be saved. There are going to be a LOT of people on this thread who will be sorely embarrassed by their remarks tonight.

Lol, aren't we always? ;D

Guy on twitter would have more credibility if he didn't include picks we made for other teams.

OK guys, let's put it like this:

Is Brown more Andre Iguodala, or Harrison Barnes?

That's what it comes down to with that pick.
