Dude on Twitter points this out:

"Last 8 Celtics first round picks:

MarShon Brooks
Jared Sullinger
Fab Melo
Kelly Olynyk
Marcus Smart
James Young
Terry Rozier
R.J. Hunter"

Meh

To be fair, only Smart and Brown have been actual decent picks early in the draft. The others have been mostly non-lottery.

This thread should be saved. There are going to be a LOT of people on this thread who will be sorely embarrassed by their remarks tonight.

Then again, it's easy to point fingers if you don't share your own opinion

Please go search the "final draft poll" from earlier today. I predicted the Cs would take Brown.

Thanks for playing but you lost. Have a nice day!

I also picked Brown and am happy with the pick. But after the huge build-up today, and all the hopes for a huge trade, kind of a letdown. Big overture, little show.

Mike

Not Browns fault he was drafted

10 spots too early

Good Grief Danny ......are you brain dead?

Who did you want?

I like the pick, he is better than the rest. The most athletic by far

PEOPLE, we aren't mad that Danny missed on Dunn, the player. We are mad because Chicago was entertaining Crowder/Bradley (one of) and Dunn for BUTLER!!
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I absolutely loved this pick, I always wanted an athletic wing. Whether you like him or not, we gotta trust Ainge. Who knows, as much as I like him, maybe Ainge is still working on pulling off a big trade.

Erm, ok? No need to feel attacked, man, that was a general statement.

But maybe we should wait a few games before we decide how good this pick actually is, don't you think?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

The only .....

Good thing about the Brown pick.....

Is I have a hunch ......

It was 95 % CBS  ....pick.....

CBS was good at getting talent in college ....with a small school.........

I'm betting this pick has Stevens signature ALL over it. I think Ainge wanted to make CBS happy

That said ......I'm still depressed

Brown really could end up being one of the three best players in this draft.

Question he has to answer is, can he get by NBA guards and wings, or will he only be able to score against bigs? Also, who does he defend at next level? If he can switch onto guards and wings and hold his own against smaller frontcourt players, he could be something.

Or he might be a shorter Harrison Barnes.

Pho, are we somewhat on the same page? That doesn't happen very often.

He does have the talent to be one of the best guys from this draft. Where I'd disagree is whether or not he can improve is shot and his handle a bit. If he has an outside shot he's going to kill opposing teams.

As for his defense, I'm not worried. He's already good and he has the athleticism to play with anyone.

Granath, the funny thing is I can remember a number of times when you've started a post with that exact phrase. Doesn't seem so rare.

Meh

How about context of where those players were taken.  This comes up every time people make this criticism and they never use logic.

But obviously that wasn't on the table or Butler would be getting a plane ticket for Boston!!
