My favorite not so favorite quotes about Brown, our new Celtics player

"He finished his freshman year with 105 turnovers to only 67 assists, a brutal ratio for even a bigger player. It was compounded by Brown's sky-high usage rate of 31.2 percent -- No. 20 in the country and first in the Pac-12. He's just not skilled enough offensively to be ending more than 31 percent of his team's possessions with a shot, turnover or free throw." Ugh....I am sick....when is our next pick?....maybe we take another guard with our 16 who cant shoot...

"Marcus Smart, Gordon Hayward and Tyreke Evans were the only players drafted in the top 10 recently with comparable three-point percentages. " Great...now he is teammate with Smart..together they stink at shooting together....

"If Brown dedicates himself to becoming a defensive stopper and improving as a shooter, he should have a fine NBA career. Just don't put too much on his plate at first. As Cal saw, he isn't ready for that yet." Perfect..another roll player  whose not ready and might not ever be anything but that...

Hey if ainge likes jaylen Brown more than Noel + Covington + two late 1sts, he must be pretty special.

So I'm cool with it.   Looking forward to the next few years of waiting to see him take a leap.

^this.

no reason to lose faith in a pick from the first 30 mins...

remember how disappointed ppl were when we drafted Rozier and he turned out OK.

Realize this is Danny we are talking about. AKA: bad drafter
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Every team in the league is better at drafting than us.

Incredible screw up right before our eyes.

Celtics say they are keeping Jaylen Brown at 3. No trade for 3.

Im happy with Brown, The Cs will probably end up with another top 3 pick this time next year... its not the end of the world

That is exactly how ownership wants you to think. Every move is acceptable every year because the team can always try again next season.

I'm good with it if he gets to play major nba minutes and develop his rookie year.

Am I the only one who noticed Wyc said they had things lined up for later in the draft if they wanted but they were going to see how things played out???

Great, so we can be disappointed again in an hour...

Wyc basically said there are no trades going on, they didn't work out.

They never do.

I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football.

I think this calls for support from a gif

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

This thread should be saved. There are going to be a LOT of people on this thread who will be sorely embarrassed by their remarks tonight.

Then again, it's easy to point fingers if you don't share your own opinion

Please go search the "final draft poll" from earlier today. I predicted the Cs would take Brown.

Thanks for playing but you lost. Have a nice day!

Don't worry, it does.  These things get saved going back to 2009.  Locked too.

So happy we have Ainge.  You guys would take every crappy offer we have gotten.  Teams know we have a lot and know Ainge has killed trades so they try to low ball us all day.  Forget them.

Ha ha ha. That could be saidabouta lot of threads. :)

So, my guess about bender was wrong. But I liked brown, especially after he did so well shooting in the work out.

Regardless, now he is a Celtic so I cheer him on.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
