not upset with Brown -- he figures to be a decent player at least -- very solid defensively.  more upset that with all the supposed possibilities for trades we came away with a guy who's a good 2-3 years from being what he hope he can be.

found it interesting Wyc was getting some boos when he was talking to the crowd in the Garden

A lot of you guys are going to love Brown.  This reaction is very silly.

Maybe Jaylen Brown really did hit 79 or whatever it was out of 100 3's in his workout with Boston.  In that Thomas bit with him for the draft special he was knocking down 3 after 3, even with Isiah being incredibly annoying.

Funny how Dunn is now at 5th pick...too much Dunn, Dunn, Dunn and of course Celtics and Suns don't pick him..Bender talk was quiet as a mouse over past week...Knew he was gonna get snagged no later than 5...

Danny puts a lot of power in the personal workouts...No doubt Brown won him over there in his killer workout...Bender must have laid a big egg this past Tuesday in Boston...
most of the stuff you read heading into the draft is nonsense.  The Dunn as consensus 3rd best player narrative happened out of nowhere.  A week ago it was established that it was a crap shoot.

Wyc basically said there are no trades going on, they didn't work out.

They never do.

I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Another draft, another whiff.

Fireworks? BWAHAHAHAH.

Y'all can forget about Durant. He isn't joining this team.

Danny Ainge, savant.

Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Oh boy, Dragan Bender at #4.

I hope he is not legit. Hell of a miss by Ainge if Bender is the real deal.

I am straight up TERRIFIED of the Brown vs Bender vs Dunn comps five years from now.  TERRIFIED.

Wyc: "People call us up, thinking they can rip us off because they think we're in a hurry. So thanks bu no thanks"

Quote from: Jay O
Wyc on the pick: "Well that's not my call, that's Danny and the staff... this is really the pick that Danny and the guys wanted to make"

Uh huh...

Yeah, horsecrap. There are just as many reports saying Danny's deals weren't realistic. I think he expects to assblast other GM's and win every trade by a lopsided margin. Inexcusable.
