Who is nervous?? hihihi  ;D

My gut instincts says we grab the #2 pick and Lakers lose their pick . Ahhhhh I would be so happy

As for the #1 pick guessing it will be the lowly 76ers. Again.

All season long I figured we will get #5 or more accurately, I would be happy if we got #5.  I guess that is still the case.  We should all be happy if we get #5, not disappointed (it is a great outcome when you consider the original trade).  And we probably end up with Bender at #5 because our draft nights always seem to go that way.

I would really be fine with any of the projected top 5 or 6 with Bender being my least favorite (most likely bust).  But who knows.  Even CoachBo can't be absolutely sure Bender is a bust.  He is only, what 18?  He could still be anything.

The other scenario that keep entering my head is that we get the #2 pick, trade it, and then Simmons drops to #2.  Again, maximum disappointment.

You have to be very careful what you post or even think about if you follow.

I'm holding at lakers, Celtics, sixers.  It's too movie like not to go down that way and people are sick and tired of seeing philly waste talent every year.  I'm pumped but need to keep telling myself this isn't the actual draft yet lol

I'm not nervous, because I've made peace with a couple things.

- The only way for the Celtics to fall to 6th would be for the Lakers to fall out of the top 3 and lose their pick entirely.  So I couldn't stay salty long*

- The only way for the Lakers to keep their pick and Boston to fall to 5th would be for Philly to fall out of the top 3**.

So I guess the worst-case scenario looks something like this:

#1 - Lakers
#2 - Chicago (lol at how that would impact the Jimmy Butler situation... they might as well keep Butler and trade the pick for another impact star)
#3 - Any team 4-15
#4 - Philly
#5 - Boston

And even in that worst-case scenario, Boston has a top 5 pick on top of a situation that is already pretty awesome.  So whatever.

*One note on the "Falling to #6" scenario.   I'd say it would also mean Philly would fall out of the top 3 entirely, but that's technically not true since they have swap rights with the kings.  So a 6th pick worst-case scenario could go like this:

#1 - Kings - Philly takes pick
#2 - Chicago
#3 - Any team 4-15
#4 - Philly - Kings swap backwards
#5 - Philly - (via Lakers)
#6 - Boston.

For the Philly haters, that'd be a bitter one, but at least the Lakers get shafted... and I'd still be fine with Boston having a 6th pick on top of a pretty excellent situation as-is.

**For an all-ugly situation, we have this to look forward to:

#1 - Lakers
#2 - Kings - Philly take it
#3 - Chicago
#4 - Philly - Kings take it
#5 - Boston

That would be annoying

... but we can take some solace in Philly not getting two picks in the top 5, I guess?

I really don't want the 76ers to get both picks cause it gives them an extra extremely valuable piece. Do we really want a team with some young talented players (Noel, Okafor, possibly Embiid, getting an extra top5 pick? They will be a legitimate rival at some point....I would feel the same if it was the Nets or Knicks (obviously not including we own the nets picks)

The alarm clock is set at 1:50 AM (France time), but the excitement is already there. I'm going in the lottery thinking we are set to get the 5th pick : that way, I can't be disappointed, only pleasantly surprised. To what point, though, that remains to be seen.

Unless you get the 6th overall pick.  Then, you'll be disappointed big time.

Good point, that would be crushing. :P But I don't see it (yet if it were to happen you are free to blame me).

With  Bostons record of bad luck with stuff like this .

I d be shocked to see us anything but 5 or 6 th pick.

Boston 's rise I predict will be once again built on IQ and hard work ......not gifts and lottery magic

I will STOP watching NBA 100% if Cavs somehow get the 1st pick

me all day

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I assume it will be the Celtics logo on the card, and not the Nets.  Can anyone confirm?  It's confusing enough determining what you need to root for.

They should just show us 1, then 2, then 3.  Instead of reverse order.

Will we get a live look in at the lottery room after the results are drawn but before its announced on television?
