Wow really?

they mentioned this on felger & mazz, embiid responded with something but I didn't really hear the whole thing... said something "Philly one four enjoy the processs".

again I wasn't really paying attention so if someone heard i'd like to know.

anyway, if this whole thing is real the NBA can go eff themselves.

Really what? You open something like NBADraft.net and see Philadelphia sitting on top. You post a tweet, and then realize you're an idiot and delete it.

Probably just had it saved as a draft just in case & accidentally tweeted it.

Unless he's actually in the drawing room & the balls have already been drawn (how early before the telecast are they actually drawn?), I don't see how he would actually know.

Not to mention, I'm pretty sure all communication devices are taken from these people before they enter the drawing room.

assuming this means the 6ers got the 1 and 4th, that means we could be the 2nd, 3rd, or 5th. lets hope for that 2nd

I really enjoyed the ride this year to be in this position.  Nice work by Danny, and the math is the math.  Of course I am hoping for the best, but what a boon to simply be in this position this year, and potentially 1-2 more times, next couple of years on Brooklyn's dime.  May the leprechauns work some magic please.  :)

I think the real draw happens at about 7:30 Eastern; it's definitely shortly before the TV show to minimize leaks.

I think Koz's explanation is the best - Dikembe knew the lotto was today, and confused the #1 slot with the #1 pick.  Not that conspiracy theorists care though.  We're now up to at least the teams with the 2 best chances winning = obvious rigging.  Presumably some non-Celtics fans would apply the same "logic" to us too.

I do really like the idea that there's a massive conspiracy and somehow Mutombo of all people was in on it  ;D

EDIT: Speculation is Mutombo saw a Joel Embiid tweet hoping for #1 + #4 (best case scenario for Philly) and thought it was the real result.

Yeah this is found money for me.  If we tanked all year and bottomed out with a miserable squad and still got stuck with 5 or 6 I could understand the disappointment, but we had a fun, relatively successful year and have a bright future no matter where the pick falls.  It's all gravy folks, have fun with it.

What time should I log on to see what they got? I am taking one for the team trying to break the curse by not watching it. Every time I watch they get screwed so this will be my part!

True. Remember 2007, we got the number 5 and won a championship the next season.
