  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Please basketball jebus! One time!

One day to go!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Why are there never any leaks, especially in today's twitter universe, about who won the lottery or who finished where? Is security that tight and do they take everyone's phone away and keep them sequestered until after 8 p.m.?

I'm stuck in Canada for work and I'm unsure whether I'll be able to watch it since the local TSN channel tends to show more hockey than anything else (what a surprise!). Maybe it's for the best due to how nerve wracking it is.
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

Michael Jordan was the 3rd pick just saying.

Not to jinx your jinx but this is impossible.   The only way Boston's at 6 is if LA's at 5.  Can't happen any other way.

Since the Brooklyn pick sits at #3 here is where the Celtics stand.

#1-15.6
#2-15.7
#3-15.6.  Brooklyn pick
#4-22.4
#5-26.5
#6-4.2

So sitting at #3 the Celtics have a 46.9% chance at a top 3 pick and a 53.1% chance at falling to the 4th, 5th and 6th pick. With only a 4.2% chance of falling to #6 its pretty much a 50% shot at 1-3 or a 50% shot at 4-5.

Let's cross our fingers....🍀

I am pretty sure that the actual lottery drawing takes place around 7:30 in a sequestered room with a representative from each of the 14 teams there. If I understand correctly, no on that is in that room is allowed to leave or have any contact with anyone outside that room until the results have been revealed on ESPN.

Not getting a top 2 pick might be a good thing this draft.  This is a pretty strong draft 3-10.  Are Simmons and Ingram the end all be all?

Thanks for posting. I knew we had a better chance of moving down rather than up but hadn't seen the breakdown outside the top three.
Celtics fan for life.

so the dream scenario is us getting the 1st pick AND Lakers go out of top 3 hence their pick go to the Sixers via Suns(just saw it on nba tv).
