I finally figured out why advanced metrics hate him. He does lots of great stuff, but there's so much stupidity in between that it averages out to a sub-par player.

Next season, I hope Ainge looks for a consistent 3-point shooter and just lets Smart handle back-up handling duties.

If Dion Waiters was on this team, he'd be one of the only guys can create a shot. But what comes with it, isn't worth it. Turner is better than Waiters, but the same problems apply.

I agree.  But the fact that Stevens still runs him tons of minutes shows you how much he values his defensive versatility.  Well that and we have a lack of depth right now.

Well yeah.  Marcus smart can create a shot too, but he shoots 30%.  Turner is pretty decent at it.  He's been big tonight.
