What makes you think that an unproven rookie who hasn't played a minute in the nba with minor red flags is alone worth a 24/25 year old center who is the most skilled big center in a generation? (Towns is coming for that crown) we would have to include more than just the 2nd. And it would be worth it.
Which rookie has the red flags? My #1 has been Ingram since 2 years ago, but both 1 and 2 picks are great picks to start a franchise around. Also, the 2017 draft has some pretty good players in it and some of them are Centers. I'm sure the Kings will want a top pick and Cousins keeps them around the 5-10 range.
You are also right about Cousins being the best skilled BIG in the game. He also gets almost 11 fta attempts a game and will get the other teams bigs in foul trouble.
But IMO, with the climate at the Kings, the fact Cousins wants out, Cousins won't re-sign, Cousins will continue to hurt his value with behavior issues, and etc...all points to the Kings parting ways.
2 years of Cousins or 10 years of the new hybrid of basketball player?
You sound as if we are buying Cousins like he is a mindless slave.....the dude can bolt in 2 years! Then what.
Also, Karl Towns does not have the length that Cousins has. We will see how that affects him at CENTER, but Towns is a player.....so is Myles Turner too.
