Yeah, so there goes Lbrrd's argument. Russell's camp definitely lied, since his camp was the source of the snapchat video. I think there may have been a shot Russell gave it to Nicki Minaj, and she leaked it. Still, it just shows Russell is an idiot for sharing that video with anyone. There's a very popular function on iPhones now (and I'm assuming other phones) that allows you to open your text message app, go to a contact, hold a button, record a video, and have the video send instantaneously when you let go of the button. Russell very well could have done that and texted the video to someone before Nick Young could object, and as everyone knows, text messages are permanent and cannot be un-sent.

even that new feature though, you have to explicitly press SEND after shooting the video...

I'm in my 30s.  Recently, I went to Vegas for a bachelor party with fellow 30 year olds of various maturity levels.   We went out to a club.  The groom was incredibly drunk.  He was on a packed dance floor sucking face with a random girl he had just met.   One of the guys took a photo and mass texted it to all of us scattered across the club (8 guys who had joined the bachelor in Vegas).   We had a laugh at it.   

Tell me how this is at all different aside from the fact that Nick Young and D'Angelo Russell are mildly famous, the bride-to-be is a pop star having a high profile war of her own with another pop star, and the photo my friend shared didn't leak out on TMZ. 

You can judge Nick Young as much as you can judge the groom at the bachelor party I attended in Vegas.  Call it deplorable.  Pretty sure the groom ended up taking the girl back to his hotel room.  Judge him.  Judge Nick Young.

You can call the friend a nark for taking a photo and sharing it with the rest of the bachelor party, but we were all bros and to some bros, that kind of thing is funny.  The friend never intended that photo to go out to the bride... certainly not the whole freakin world. 

It took me over a week to even remember this story.  That's how little the friend's behavior shocked me.  "HOW COULD YOU!?  YOU TOOK A PHOTO OF HIM!  BRO CODE BRO CODE BRO CODE!" never crossed my mind.   We had a laugh at it and deleted evidence.   This is what people are missing when they take a dump on D'Angelo.  Maybe in their circle of prank war buddies, the video of Nick Young bragging about his conquests was funny.  Unless you're telling me that D'Angelo intentionally leaked it out to the press, I'm giving him a pass.  And even if he DID leak it out intentionally to the press, the lesson has been learned.  He's gonna be fine.  Only a complete psychopath would make the same mistake again.

Trust issues and morality issues are different things. There are many reasons to distrust someone on other grounds than perceived moral shortcomings of the other party; it could be mental issues, immaturity, drug abuse, person being under stress and thus lacking judgement. Or simply for being generally dumb.
So defending Russell by claiming that what he did wasn't morally wrong (i.e. it wasn't intentional etc..
), totally misses the point.
The point is that he obviously lost the trust and respect of his team-mates, which is pretty devastating for a group that is supposed to work together.
Not that I care too much about the Lakers locker room, and I'm sure it'll blow over.

32 points for D'Angelo Russell tonight in a sad glimpse of what could have been.  Tragic that the 20 year old had his career cut short by hackers leaking the video he took of Nick Young during their prank war.  Really a shame.  He could have been a pretty good player. Sad it's over.  It's a shame his teammate Kobe Bryant couldn't give him some sage advice about salvaging a career after a rape trial.  Unfortunately, it's much easier to come back from rape allegations/pubically cheating on your wife than it is coming back from a leaked snap chat video that allegedly broke a bro code.   I wonder if he can get a fresh start in China like Stephon Marbury.
