Russell isn't blameless, but I don't think the fact that his teammates won't talk to him means anything.
Players don't have to be friends with each other, they don't have to hang out with each other, and they don't have to like one another. If the other players let that affect the game/team/locker-room, then they're being just as immature. If it's team Young vs. team Russell, everyone pick a side, that's stupid high school girl-drama Twilight crap.
The fact that the video leaked has nothing to do with the actual act of taping his friend against his will. If Russell was truly close friends with his teammates, they would just tell him, "I don't like that, don't ever do that to me," and unless Russell was an unworthy friend, he would oblige (otherwise, who would want to be friends with him?) Clearly his friendships with his teammates were superficial enough that they couldn't overcome this one thing (or it was a build up from other instances).
Russell caught him on tape, which was funny. Maybe he should have deleted it right after, or maybe he should have saved/hid the video better, and he deserves the blame for it coming out. But he did the manly thing; he stepped up, accepted the blame, and apologized for the whole world to see, so I consider his soul pretty clean. He righted his wrong as far as I'm concerned, and now it's up to him to repent and change his ways if he wants forgiveness from people.
He's young, rich, and ignorant. He doesn't have to be nice to people and make friends with everybody. In fact, he already has thousands of fans and people who have loved him ever since he could dribble a basketball, so who cares if a few people hate him? He's got PLENTY of distractions. Also, when you have that much money, you can just buy the friends you want. If Russell wants a deeper friendship with other people/teammates, he has to grow up. We all make mistakes, that's how we actually learn/mature.
