with the weakness of philly and suns, what is with jordon mickey getting so little time
is his offence that lacking or is his complete defence lacking
writers and reporters are curiously silent-
the coaches see him every practice-how does he perform and what is holding him back
booker made mincemeat of our defence-i couldn't help but think a young active shot blocker might have changed his getting to the hoop
He's a very weak rebounder and has no offensive game whatsoever. So as a non-stretch 4, he really kills our offensive spacing making it much harder for others to penetrate. As for his D, he's very good at defending the PNR and as a weakside shotblocker, but he too often gets swallowed up by bigger players inside.
His best chance for longterm success is to add quality size and develop his perimeter game out to the 3pt line. He's really far off from both, so this looks like a multiple year project type of deal.
Are you talking about Mickey? Not sure he has no offensive game whatsoever. That is a stretch.
Yeah, I am. He's an opportunistic offensive player that will get gabage buckets (putbacks, transition buckets), but he has no offensive game. He can't stretch the floor at all and players constantly play off him to help clog the lane. His shooting is a work in progress and his FT shooting (62%) resembles what he did last season in college (64%).
Eddie20 is just a hater. Watch the highlights clip and judge for yourself if he has no offensive game. And Mickey is a good rebounder. Just like the majority of the rookies they will have problems rebounding against NBA vets (strength, experience).
D league player of the month (December). Jump shots, 3 pt shot, drive from the perimeter and all. Eddie20 still no offensive game? =P

You know you're in trouble when you have to make so many D-League references. Luke Harangody was awesome there too, averaging 20 and 12. Did that translate?
Mickey has no offensive game at all and if you read my comments in assessing his strengths and weaknesses you would see that I'm pretty objective. He's a project who has a lot of work to do. Instead of acknowledging that, you act as though it's a mass conspiracy by Stevens to not play him because he favors vets to, you know, winning games.
you are not objective at all. Just hating
What Jordan Mickey is doing in the Dleague is amazing for a 1st year guy. Every game he has produced quality stats . Near triple doubles etc.
And also you don't realize that he is a rookie. You think all rookies are ready or something
Mickey for the short time he has been given a chance has made an impact . It might not show in stats but just by him being on the floor, teams take notice and are hesistant to drive in. His PNR D and team D is sensational
Offensively you said he is a garbage man. Tell me, how many passes has he received where he has an opportunity to do something?
and you don't factor in that adding strength in the offseason will help his game for next season.
We will see who is right. Don't hate and be patient
