Danny and CBS I can't see passing over Simmons if we won the lotto. But both are high on players who work hard and are not headaches in other areas

For example if CBS wants simmons to do homework after practice (look at tapes etc), will he do that ?  will he do it on his own without being asked?

Simmons needs to be more humble instead of looking like when is this college season over already so I can go #1 or #2 in the draft

As soon as I heard about the Simmons benching, I thought, gee what motivation does LSU have to punish this kid?

It is set in stone that he is gone after this year, and they need to get the most out of him the next month. Hes also the star player on a team that hasn't been relevant for a little while now, and at a school that certainly prioritizes and makes lots of money off of their athletes.

So this tells me one of two things:

1. Whatever he did is really bad. Maybe completely blowing off school and class after multiple warnings...I dunno But it cant be something simple like his grades are slipping.

2. His coach felt he needed to go to drastic measures to motive this kid.

Either way...Simmons officially has some off court blemishes to go along with his tentativeness at times on the court.

Completely agree. If this kid had any kind of competitive spirit, he would try to completely dominate the rest of this season. Well see how he responds.

no matter what happens,  the 76ers will be there to snatch him up at #3 if he drops

Simmons is putting up just as good of a season, if not better than, almost all the other great recent one-and-done's so people acting like he is under performing need to check the numbers with context.  I'm not saying you can't have any issues with him, but the guy is performing big time.

He has a glaring weakness but multiple extreme strengths as well.

The difference is, all the other great one and done players were on teams that won enough games to make the tournament. You would think that a transcendent player would help his team win in college.

I think people might be over rating Simmons. He might be the best prospect in this draft but I don't think he's a transformational talent like some people do.

If the C's have the top pick I'd gladly take a quality asset from the team in 2nd to move back a spot and get Ingram.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'm not too worried about Simmons. He can play the 4 in the NBA, and it's really not the end of the world if he's a non-stretch 4 - you just need to pair him with the right center (e.g. Olynyk, Horford). He's shown all year that he can still beat you off the dribble even if you sag. He's the type of player that will benefit immensely from modern NBA spacing, as it really opens up driving and passing lanes from the mid and high post.

I'd probably still take Simmons number 1 overall if the season ended today and we won the lottery, but he's certainly not the player I expected.

His poor attitude to his benching was bad, hints at a lack ot maturity in wake of adversity. There's going to be lots of adversity in the NBA, is he willing to handle it?

Also, when he plays, his demeanor is just so passive. He can do whatever he wants, (except hit a jump shot), but he chooses not to. Defers to teammates a lot. Pounds the ball for 10 sec, then gives it up and doesn't get it back for the rest of the possession.

Ingram I'd probably still take second, but he's definitely making a push to be the first overall pick. I didn't like that he kinda gave up in the weekend game. Seemed to be lost once he started racking up TOs and not hitting shots.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about
