Crowder gets fouled every time he drives to the basket, but the refs refuse to call it.
2 reasons for that.
1. He's not a superstar
2. He's out of control on most of those drives

This is an important point, and it applies to Thomas too.  They both fall to the floor WAY too much.  Refs are gonna hold the whistle when they do that.

I bet if Lebron James fell on the floor the refs will whistle for a flagrant foul.  ;)

problem with the Celtics is they do not sell any of their players as elite therefore the refs do not give any of them the elite treatment.

The NBA should have all teams have a designated elite player that gets favorable calls. This will balance things out. HAHA

You usually have to be elite on offense, to be considered elite.  We could designate til the cows came home and we would not get respect.

He's got to be better offensively and if he makes that next step he's a borderline All-Star or All-Star injury replacement.

I wouldn't be shocked if he made 1 or 2 AS games in the near future.

Defensively he can get even better.

But right now he shoots way too many jumpers and that limits him as an offensive player.

Can he play on the box? Can he score off the dribble? Can he run the break?

We shall see.

Not good enough to be talked about to play PF.  I don't that line of thinking that you see quite a bit.

He reminds me of Rick Fox.  Good solid player but .....

And this is not a criticism of Jae.  I love what he is doing this year but I don't think it is good to overreact to his improvement (or to suggest he play out of position).

agree he's improved but there's seems to be an overreaction to that improvement.

not sure Fox is the one I think of when I think of Crowder.  Fox was a very underrated defender (particularly by the refs until he got to LA).  I think Crowder's a better shooter and athlete though I think Fox had a better BBIQ.

Zach Lowe thinks he's a borderline All Star and maybe is actually Boston's best player.
