The Nets say guard Jarrett Jack will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL and small medial meniscus tear in his right knee.

Definitely helps our pick, but a bummer that he had to go out this way! Wish him the best in relation to his recovery.

I know it helps the pick but it's sad to see a player go down like that...

I like Jack, was hoping the Nets would send him to a good team.

Bummer to hear, but this certainly helps our cause.

Nets still have that Young / Lopez frontcourt pairing, but losing Jack now in addition to RHJ should really make it hard for them to add too many more wins.

This is one of those veteran injuries people were sure would come.

Given his age this might be it for him. That's unfortunate.

Really unfortunate, bad news even if it helps our pick.  Those non-contact injuries are always the most concerning.

Get well soon Jack.

He is "only" 32, so he could make a push in order to return. He probably won't be the same player after this injury considering his age though.

Man, this could be big for the Celtics to stay in the top 5. They're really running out of depth. If they have to play their starters more, it's only going to wear them out.

Obviously, we shouldn't wish this upon anyone, but it is beneficial for the Celts.

Well this makes up for the pathetic loss to the Nets.

Now down to Lopez, Young, Johnson, Bogdanavic

After that their roster is poop.

Just posted this in the Nets Watch thread. Thought it was more appropriate for here:

"Sad  to see Jack go down. He has been one of my favorite players since he was the only NBA player to have the stones to publicly call out Ray Allen for leaving the Cs. Called him a "traitor."

However, this has to hugely benefit us. To me, Jack was the leader of that team. Defensively, the Nets will suffer substantially. Jack's 6'3" 200 lb. frame and his aggression will be replaced by a 5'11" (that's generous) 175 lb. (that might be generous, too) Larkin."

hate to see such an injury happen. jack has made over $40 million in his career and has a contract worth $6.3 million for next year. if he recovers he should be able to get one more contract, even if it is reduced a bit.

i wish good luck to him. i wish bad luck to the nets.   ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

His contract is only guaranteed next year for $500k.  No way he isn't released at this point, unfortunately for him.
