But swap him with Canaan, and I'm sure they'll talk. What -- you don't agree with the 2 dozen folks who voted: Celtics say 'no'?

I know many like Noel a lot, but his offensive limitations are just too much for me to feel comfortable with the Celts giving up what they'd have to give up to convince the Sixers to trade him.

Maybe you overestimate what it would take to get him. After all, having him stand around and watch Okafor in the post isn't exactly doing wonders for his trade value....
It's doing wonders for their draft pick.

Money wise, it's a push and they appear to be in need of a PG.Yea/Nay?I'm a Yea.That is "sourced" by BleacherReport by via Philly beat writer who points to a random Twitter user who says the Celtics "like" Noel. I'd go out on a limb here and call bull.If there are any conversations, they probably start with Smart and one of the Nets picks. Which I doubt.

Smart AND a Brooklyn pick? This isn't a Cousins thread - I doubt Noel would be worth either (especially a BKN pick), but I would probably trade Smart straight up if forced to make a decision.
I know it's an unpopular opinion right now and I absolutely love Smart's intensity / leadership, but I'd rather have a center who can't shoot than a guard who can't.

I don't think Smart is some sort of a hot commodity around the league. What the side observer sees is a one-trick pony who's struggled to stay healthy (or in the lineup, for that matter).Quote from: jambr380 on December 22, 2015, 01:46:56 PMI know it's an unpopular opinion right now and I absolutely love Smart's intensity / leadership, but I'd rather have a center who can't shoot than a guard who can't.I'm quite baffled by this reaction. Noel is 21, and had a great rookie year last season when the 76ers didn't have him play out of position. Smart, on the other hand, is somewhat redundant and the team has done mostly fine with him out of the lineup.

Rozier, Hunter, Dallas 1st, Wolves pick and Philly pick should get it done. Rozier and Hunter have plenty of upside and would fit well with Philly wanting to start turning things around next year.Rozier, Hunter, Ingram, Saric, Okafor.

Nerlens has also regressed as an offensive player, so where would he even be in the C's big-man rotation. I'd give up any expiring contract, Jared or Kelly, and that Dallas pick.

This deal:http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=81686.0No disrespect intended here at all (more implied laziness on my part), but it's annoying enough to have to click once to see someone's trade idea, never-mind twice. I'm sure it's a good one though, sspence, as i usually like your trade ideas.
