Shocker: the Celts really lack shooting, rebounding, and inside scoring.
Well Smart is finally becoming aggressive so that's the one positive I'm taking from that half. Everything else was bad... and it's just painful to know when our 5'9 best player can't hit the broad side of a barn we have literally zero offense...
Yep. Thomas is the only guy on offense who scares the other team. When IT is struggling to hit shots, the other team is happy to let Crowder, Bradley, Sullinger etc bomb away, and that's how we end up shooting 28% for the half.
I'll be honest though part of why I thought this would be a decent season was that I really thought Lee would still be able to produce consistently... but he looks like a shell of his former self... so yeah this is what we have now...
Agreed ....I fell for it too.......I'm really let down ....no wonder Warriors dumped him.....he an't much improvement over Bass...if at all
I'm noticing that people had expectations for Lee that he was never really suited to meet.
He's a guy who can score when there's spacing around him, but he's never been a great shooter or post-up guy so expecting him to put up points when he's surrounded by a bunch of mediocre scorers is setting him up to fail.
Lee's role on this team is to rebound, facilitate, occasionally attack when he's got a good matchup, and act as a leader on the floor.
He's doing okay in that role so far. The Celts need other guys to step up.
