Did Philly shut down Noel and Oakfor? Sounds like something Philly would do. Neither one has played today and they still got a shot at beating Miami.

Whoa the 76ers might win too?
maybe, but at this point i am not sure they could win even if someone were to clone the team and have them play against themselves.  ;D

Dangelo Russell is going to be so good.

So you've now said multiple times.  I think you may have a passive-aggressive streak in you. Not because you are wrong, just based on what you choose to highlight.
He just beat the Warriors.  It's worth repeating.  Kid has been very impressive since Byron Scott finally stopped stunting him and started letting him play 6 games ago.  Future star.

You mean Clarkson beat the Warriors? 6 games is a small sample size, If Marcus Smart did the same thing, will you label him as a future star?
Deangelo Russell is a top 3 pick who has played some terrific basketball lately. i think its fair to say he has more star potential than Smart. A lot more in fact.

That being said, the Golden State Warriors were somewhere between going through the motions and not even bothering to go through the motions tonight.

For the last six games? I like Russell, but I'm going to go crazy over a small sample size.

Not really a small sample size.  His stats for the season of 13 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.1 steals with 42% shooting an 36% from three in just 27.7mpg are pretty solid for a 20 year old rookie PG.  Marcus Smart is in his second year averaging 9.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.7 steals with 35% shooting and 27% from the line and most of us still expect him to be a very good player long term.

They inserted Russell back into the starting lineup 8 games ago and while he had one dud game, he's been pretty sensational recently.
2/24 - 22 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds 42%/33%/75% ...
2/26 - 22 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 67%/100%/67% ...
3/1 - 39 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal 67%/67%/60% ...
3/2 - 24 points, 6 assists, 1 rebound 1 steal 43%/33%/60% ...
 then today - 21 points, 5 asissts, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, 43%/43%/100%

He's getting into a grove, which is what you should expect from a #2 pick during the second half of their rookie year.   Long-term, he looks like he'll be a star.

I wouldn't bet against it but I would think you of all people understand the power of other teams not giving a [dang] when they play you.

Suns back within a game, and 538's projections have the Suns back ahead by a game, with Minny two ahead.  Sunnier forecast than we've seen in a few weeks.

Yep. Normally don't agree with this guy but Russell is a stud. I (and I'm sure many people here) would do anything to get this kid. He's going to be really good.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Nothing against Russell and I don't care one way or the other (I did think he would find his way as I said long ago) but it seems every time I look up there is someone new that gets put up vs. Smart. Exum, Randle, Russell, Clarkson, Payton etc. have all been talked about! Next week, someone else will play well for a while and they will be brought up as being better or will be better than Smart. Some of the guys you won't hear about again when they don't play well or don't live up to the hype. People pretend like they like Smart one day (usually when he plays well), then every other day in a thread they're bringing up another player, it's BS! I get liking other players but why does it always have to be at a knock against Smart?

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Great wins by the Sun and Nuggets beating Dallas.

Nets may still have a shot at the 3rd worst. Other than the 2 games against Philly the Nets have a some what tough schedule.

Yep, things are looking really good right now.

That would be awesome.   I'd love to be in the 3rd slot heading into the lotto.

Gotta get through these sixers games first. If the Nets lose one of them then maybe.

Can you imagine these forums if we had other teams' picks instead of BK's?

Suns: "Two game win streak and now Knight is coming back?  They're definitely going to pass Brooklyn and Minnesota now!"

Lakers: "Now that Byron Scott unleashed D'Angelo, they're probably going to go .500 the rest of the way.  They have cupcakes against the Magic, Knicks, Kings, Suns x2, Wizards and Pelicans left.  They'll pass Brooklyn by the middle of March!"

Minnesota: Can you imagine having the Wolves' pick when someone else had the Nets' pick, then having the Nets pull that move where they rested their starters?  The servers would have caught fire
