Suns host the Knicks on Wednesday.  Very winnable game for them.  Nets could be back down to tied for third in a few days (unfortunately with a game at Philly coming up.)

Unfortunately 3 straight games at Philly, vs. Milwaukee and vs. Philly after tonight's game at Toronto.  Let's give them 2 of those 3.  After that, they won't be favored again.  But, expect them to pick up 2 wins this week.  Would be awesome if it's less because teams tend to lay eggs on the last game of a long road trip and the first game back.

The Philly kids seem to lick their lips when playing the Nets and I think they're a good shot to beat the Nets at home. Playing these bum teams is like their playoffs and they get amped for it.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Could OP stick odds of winning top 3 (and maybe top 1) for each lottery slot?

Like maths striptease.

4th pick = 37.8% (top 3), 11.9% (top pick)

Too many [dang] teams including us have taken this one Brooklyn team lightly.

Raps losing by 8 , and they look like theyre sleepwalking.

It's crazy too because it's Lowry / DeRozan (14 points) vs Larkin / Ellington (4 points) and they're still losing by 9.  The Raptors match up amazing with the Nets, there's no excuse for this.

The Raptors can still win this, but lately this has been close to worse case scenario for Ainge and what that Brooklyn pick is worth.

Early on, it's looking like buying out Joe Johnson has been an 'addition by subtraction' type of move, and the team looks to be responding better to Tony Brown.  A lot of people, myself included, I think forget about the idea that this team, knowing that there's no incentive to losing this season, will play a lot freer.  When other bad teams are tanking, they'll be legitimately trying to win.

Like I've said before, you never want to actually root for a player to get injured.  But Brook Lopez showing his true colors as an injury prone big man would do a lot of good for us if we really want to maximize this pick this year.

at this point I'm getting numb to their wins, apparently their GM is a godsend. My reaction to their potential win today is a resounding "LOL"

Classic Dwane Casey. With Scola out, finally a spoonfed opportunity to insert Patrick Patterson into the starting lineup - an adjustment that has appeared necessary for at least a month - and the guy decides to go with Jason Thompson.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Lol, the refs are getting Toronto back into the game. 3 straight calls in their favor.

They're still losing more games than their winning, but they're way more competitive than I think any of us, both fans and team alike, ever thought they'd be.

Now we have to start watching other teams around them as well, mainly the TWolves and Suns.  Obviously the Nets aren't catching the Sixers, and I'd be shocked if they caught the Lakers.  But at with the 4th worst record now, they're only a game ahead (behind?) the Suns for 3rd worst record, but then just 1.5 games up on the Wolves for 4th worst record.

A 15.6% chance at the number 1 pick is always better than an 8.8 or 11.9% chance, so we really gotta hope that the Suns and Wolves catch fire.

80-78, only two points ahead to end the 3rd. Glad they closed the gap! Let's go Raptors!  :)

I don't understand why BKN refuses to find an upgrade at PG.  Even Jordan Crawford would be a significant upgrade over Larkin and Sloan.  Maybe Will Bynum.  Could have had Tony Wroten, but he's going to the Knicks.  No need to commit large amounts of money.  None of them are long-term solutions, just find a better player to boost short-term morale.
