There are a lot of teams out there that could only benefit from losing as their early season hopes fade away... It's not looking good for our pick unless Brooklyn deals Lopez.

I'd be really upset if Minnesota, New Orleans, or LA get the first pick. LA for obvious reasons, but Minnesota and New Orleans already got their first overall pick superstar. There really should be a rule against repeat lottery winning, call it the "Cleveland Rule."

If the Celtics didn't get it I wouldn't mind Phoenix winning.

The Nets still stink. They may play hard, but they severely lack talent.

If they lose tomorrow night they'll officially be on pace for 22 wins. Awful team.

Yeah, they suck. They don't have any reason not to play their vets 35 min/game though.

Hopefully Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and New Orleans still have a lot of games together. Somebody has to win!

All it does is increase fatigue, making them less effective as the season goes on.

No chance of that happening. It's generally accepted as fact that Thibs only wants to coach a contender, and he is going to have the ability to be picky. The Nets are not the only team after Thibs.

I think he is a bad fit.....he doesn't want to share control with the Russian .   This is a dictator .....he'd have Lopez crippled up in no time flat

Minnesota is also very bad surprisingly.
I don't find it surprising at all. Minnesota's best players are all under 22. Sorry but super young teams don't win in this league, no matter how talented. Anyone thinking. Minny was going to vie for a playoff spot was just fooling themselves

Yeah, despite being able to put up big counting stats, you just cannot expect two soph's (Wiggins & Levine) and a rook (Towns) to carry a team to a playoff spot.  That just does not happen.  I'll never understand why people think otherwise.

Rubio is the only playoff worthy rotation player in his prime on that team.  Rubio isn't leading anyone to the playoffs.  He's much improved, but he's your 4th best starter, ideally.

But in a few years, Towns/Wiggins/Levine looks like an excellent foundation that should be competing for a title, so long as the franchise surrounds them with the right complementary talent.  Minny has a poor track record here, but maybe they've turned the corner in that regard.

And put one of their only assets at greater injury risk for no reason.

Thibs to Brooklyn doesn't pass the smell test. He's going to leave a contentious relationship with ownership to work for Prok? No. That's not even getting into how the team has no defensive pieces in place besides a rookie who can't do anything on offense.

Brook Lopez YTD averaging 34 mins per game. Under new coach, played 32 against SA, 30 against NYK and 28 against Portland. And it's not like they rested him in the blowout - that's when he played the most. Granted, they want him rested for tonight, but could Brooklyn 2.0 actually be managing his time to keep him healthy for the whole season?

In theory yes, but unfortunately no - since they play the 76ers 3 more times and have a couple more against Denver & the Suns... it's looking like they will win 25-27 unless they lose like the next 10 or have a big injury...

I think the Nets will lose 1 or 2 games to the Sixers.

The Sixers are kicking the poop out of the Blazers at the moment, they look quite good since the Ish Smith move and front office shakeup.

Many thanks to Atlanta!  ;D

Officially at the halfway mark at 11-30. What an entertaining team to watch! Such a scintillating season thus far, A+++! This is how basketball should be played!
