Ed, it's hard for me to have a conversation with you due the amount of times you've ignored my points to make a dramatic warped interpretation of it, accused me of being a Philly fan, or jumped in on threads to basically say "OMG, LB33 is le wurst"... you're like a reverse Flavor Flav. I don't need a reverse Flavor Flav. Even your forum signature is an attempt to shame me. Cut it out.
I'm a pessimistic person in general, but I've made many threads in the past discussing things about this team I'm excited about. Ironically, I was pretty enthusiastic about David Lee... so yeah, so much for that... Lol. But in the past, there's been plenty of things I've been thrilled with. That said, it's super hard to be excited about this team right now. We're stuck in the exact rut that we wanted to avoid... a borderline .500 team is a road towards perpetual mediocrity. Our trade options seem dismal. We lost out on the guys we targeted two drafts in a row. Frankly, it's been discouraging. I'd rather we be really bad or really good... the position we are in right now is the NBA no-man's land.
But this Brooklyn pick... This Brooklyn pick is something. It's worth getting excited about. It's the highlight of this season. But it's still too early for me to declare this a top 5 pick. THey have 10 wins... the team with 15 wins would pick 10th... it wouldn't take much for Brooklyn to spoil our party.
I'm not going to take you up on your "shame LarBrd33 for his wrong opinion" thread... I'm not going to take you up on the "LarBrd33 proves he's not a total idiot" thread. But... I tell you what... at some point, I'll create a thread about all the things I'm feeling optimistic about with Boston Celtics. Ok? Ok.
