Nothing sweeter than a Nets blowout... they haven't been competitive at all since Jack went down. Their losses mean more than our wins so even with the Cs in a bad place this is worth it thanks to that pick

Nets playing 12 guys.

Wonder if they are scaling back Youngs and Lopez's minutes.

Also, Nets struggling on offense for fourth game in a row.

I believe they're 0-4 (after tonight) without Jack. They haven't been particularly competitive either.

Shocker, they lose their one NBA-quality guard and they can no longer break 85 points. With all the internal turmoil to compound the quality of the roster, this pick keeps looking better and better.

I hope people watching this game that also submit threads like "we should trade for Brook Lopez" or "Rudy Gay" or "Tyreke Evans and Ryan Anderson" or "Jrue Holiday" or any other mid level players think about how we would match up against the Spurs after any of those moves.  We're not going to be a top tier team making these pittly little moves.

Yep.  You need to have at least adequate point guard play in this league to succeed, especially when you are reliant on your big men for scoring.

Perhaps the Nets will really struggle and the second half of their season will yield fewer wins than the first.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Perhaps more relevant, the Celts aren't going to be a credible threat to the Cavs, or even the Bulls or Hawks, if they made such moves.

They've looked significantly worse than the Lakers recently. I highly doubt they get to 2nd (in lottery odds), but I'm feeling very good about top 5.

I think it's highly improbable that the Nets make the playoffs.  ;)

I hate seeing a guy like Jack get injured but he really was the cog behind the competitive machine... he was more valuable than Lopez/Young for the reason you just said... Sloan/Larkin is definitely the worst pg duo in the league. I wonder how hard they go after a guy like Lawson. Would the Rockets sell low? And what could the Nets give up? I hope they have a huge firesale instead but Prok is so delusional I could see him trying to patch it up...

I am surprised they haven't signed Wroten

Lol I'd almost guarantee the Cs make the finals before the Nets make the playoffs

The Nets would have to play .568 ball for the rest of the year to win 35 games.

Popovic is just clowning the Nets.  Rolling with a lineup of Marjanovic, Bonner, West, Anderson, and Danny Green.  When you're up by 29 and only allowed 66 points with only 4 minutes to go, I guess you can experiment with odd lineups.

They're losing their next ten, which is the rest of the games in January.  Maybe they can win against the Knicks or the Blazers, but I really doubt it.  They're going to then be 10-38 with no coach and only two months of season left.  The Suns and Wolves sure look like candidates to catch them as it's pretty neck and neck right now, but the Nets are baaad.  Plus, those two play each other in a couple days, which is an automatic win for one of them.
