  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
having Jennings back has really helped them.
They could arguably be the 2nd/3rd best team in the East in 3 months.

10 wins 27 losses and still on course for 22 wins and the 3rd worst record.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Why do you still have Lopez out there if you're Brooklyn? Just represents another 2.5 minutes for somebody to step on his foot.

will the originator of this thread please update the Nets record to 10-27? Thanks.

One of the mods has been taking care of that so I leave it alone.

The Nets actually put together a somewhat decent offensive 4th quarter, but couldn't get stops.  And they almost scored 90 points!

I'm not sure why Hollins didn't play Sloan more.  He was having a very strong game, aside from a few costly turnovers.  Hollins basically split the PG spot minutes 24/24 between Sloan and Larkin.  Should have been more like 32/16.

I have to admit, it sounds pretty funny to hear that Sloan is actually the upgrade.

Next games:

At home against SA, NYK, Portland
Then away to Atlanta, Toronto

SA should be a loss. NYK are on the 2nd night of a B2B against the Nets, so that game could be tough. Portland should be a win. Hopefully, they lose the two road games.

Could be a 1-4 or 2-3 over that period.

Wow, the Nets are really tearing it all down.  King being gone might not be great for our next couple picks, but it's going to make things chaotic there this year.  And Hollins is a solid coach.  This could be great for us.

we can hope.  ;D if they decide to trade lopez, johnson, and other players they might get some decent draft picks for a rebuild. i also hope the morale of the nets players just went through the floor.

never a sure thing, but the nets picks for the next few years look better. even with draft picks, rookies would save the nets for a few more years.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
