Joe Johnson questionable for tomorrow night.
The way he's been playing, I'm not sure that's actually good for us.
Mike
He's actually been really good recently despite his struggles on the year.
I haven't been watching him too closely, but in his last 10 games, he's shooting .361 and averaging 11 points in 35 minutes, almost exactly the same as his season average.
Mike
I guess it was just the two games against us. For some reason I thought he'd been solid for a week or so.
Hey, these games are so spread out that it might be two games in a week! But it was definitely only those two games against us. He also scored 17 against us in November. Maybe it's not that he's so good...
Mike
I think Jae Crowder playing him so physically woke him up a little. His biggest problem this year offensively has been dead legs on his jumpers and floaters. Everything's arms for him - gets no consistent power from his base.
Have the nets lost ground on every team in the east in the last 10 games except philly?
Yes, and I think a lot of us considered these games to be on the easier side. LAL has picked up ground, Phoenix was the big loser. NO now ahead by one game, but they'll start to pull it together. Our friends in AZ and, to some extent, Denver, remain my only true fears, but the Lakers could show us some upside.
Mike
Phoenix is definitely in play, and honestly I would have to concede that the Nets will pass them because of the Bledsoe injury. I guess there is a small chance they win some games cause there are more bad teams in the West, but generally the talent just isn't there and I am pretty sure they will offload Chandler before too long (along with Morris). Unless they get back Vets that becomes an awful team.
I would be more surprised/disappointed if they passed Denver. Denver wins a few games every year at home that they shouldn't because teams get gassed and are not use to playing at that altitude. In addition, they have some pretty steady veterans on that team in Galinari and Faried to go along with emerging young talent in Barton, Jokic, Mudiay and a potentially nice piece in Harris. It is hard to see them getting anything worthwhile for Faried or Galinari right now so their best moves may be to grow with that team which is capable of playing decent.
