Bulls up by 18 at the half.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Philly is within 3 of Washington

Yeah but it's for the best that Washington won.  There is basically no way that the 76ers catch Brooklyn, but the Wizards could easily get more wins than Dallas at this point if they fall out of the playoffs.

Also, [dang]it, Bogdonovic can really ball.  He's playing as good as Young is now, super annoying but you have to respect him

Bulls leads down to 8 points with 4 minutes left in the 3rd.

Uh oh.

Ugh a 5 point game.  Donald Sloan is crossing up Rose.  This is nonsense.

Hoiberg needs to reign these guys in.
They are taking some terrible shots. 10 seconds into the shotclock, no ball movement. Horrid.

Okay, back up to ten.  This would be a fitting game for the Nets to lose, since it's St. Patrick's Day and all.

Also, the Chicago announcers said that the Nets are now focused on development and have stopped caring about wins and losses.  I don't know who they're developing at this point.  Sloan?  I mean really?  Who?

The Suns are down by 11 in the early 3rd quarter vs the Jazz.
The Jazz are missing Hayward too.

Good news is that Booker and Knight are shooting a combined 25%  (5 of 20) from the field so far. Hopefully they start shooting a little better.

Markel Brown, for one.  They're also cycling through guys on 10-day contracts to see if there's anything worth keeping long-term.  They just added Shawn Kilpatrick through next year, and signed Henry Sims to a 10-day.  The new GM views the lost picks as a sunk cost, and it makes more sense to try to find players who can be useful long-term rather than eking out an extra win to spite the Celtics.  This is definitely the correct strategy, and thankfully, it should pay dividends for us this year and probably next.

Sean Kilpatrick, that's who!  D-League hero to rescue the lowly Nets.

Quote
Nets guard Sean Kilpatrick signed a three-year contract that is fully guaranteed for the rest of this season and next season, his agent, Zach Kurtin, told ESPN.com. The rest of this season is prorated at $221,000 -- more than the minimum. Kilpatrick will get a fully guaranteed $980,000 minimum salary in 2016-17 and has a non-guarantee of $1.05 million in 2017-18 which kicks in fully if he's not waived by June 30, 2017.

After signing with the Nets on Feb. 28, Kilpatrick averaged nearly 12 points and 19 minutes in eight games. He is shooting 50 percent from three point range.

In seriousness, he has provided a nice scoring spark for the Nets off the bench, but it hasn't exactly translated to more wins.  He's 26 years old.  The Nets are going to have to go dumpster diving at this point.  They signed Henry Sims to a 10-day contract as well.

Quote
Marks has repeatedly said that the Nets would have to make up for lost draft picks by scouring places like Europe and the D-League.  Kilpatrick was the D-League's top scorer and top prospect before the Nets brought him up.

If I'm the Nets, I dump Larkin and Karasev.  Those two do not belong in the NBA.   Try out some D-League/Euro players and hope one of them becomes a Danny Green or Hassan Whiteside type of success.

About freakin' time. Too bad they didn't think that way earlier in the year, when they were still deluding themselves into thinking that they could make the playoffs.

Tonight is Phoenix vs. LA Lakers. Which team will be more inept? Only the shadow knows.

Suns vs Lakers on now.
Suns early lead, looking good.
