And Kobe ruins the Lakers chance at getting the last shot of a tied game by going hero ball with 9 seconds left on the game/**** clock.

Simply personfies the last few years of his career.
He was so caught up in taking that shot that he didn't care about the fact that it gave NY the last shot (in which Calderon drained a game winning 3 with 0.2 on the clock).
kobe = LA's master plan for tanking the season.  :P

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Double agent Kobe Hwang?

Giannis was incredible vs the Nets.
His 4th triple double in 11 games and he KILLED them.
Nets had 12 turnovers in the 4th.
Just sad...but wonderful :D
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Best part is that they have signed a pact with devil and pick could well disappear.

This is the last game of the Nets' last easy stretch tomorrow vs the 76ers again.  The 6ers are down a couple players, but they also probably don't want to be tied at the worst record of all time, either.  It's unclear if either Jerami Grant or Robert Covington will be back tomorrow, but Grant seems like a little more likely to play (they both have concussions).

Hmmm ... do we get greedy and root for Phoenix to tie up the Nets, or do we root for Minny to essentially wrap up the 5th worst spot?  The Nets aren't likely to come back from 4 down with 16 left with their tough schedule and Minny's easier schedule.  I'm torn.  Guess it's a win/win ... just let it play out.

this is win/win for the celtics. personally, i think that it is more likely that the nets could finish lower than the suns (good for boston's pick), so i prefer a sun win tonight.

Man, Phoenix has an easy schedule after tonight:

@Utah
@LAL
MEM
LAL
@SAC
BOS
@MIN
@MIL
WAS
Utah
@ATL
@HOU
@NO
SAC
LAC

More road games than I'd like but a LOT of soft opponents.

Many like to compare the wolves to OKC, but I feel like they're building more of a 2008 celtics team. Rubio is similar to Rondo as a pass-first, great defense point guard. Wiggins doesn't play like Pierce, but he represents the wing go to scorer like Pierce was for us, and Towns is strikingly similar to KG, obviously not quite the defender but perhaps even better offensively? They also have Dieng who complements Towns extremely well, like how Perk fit so well on our team. They obviously need a shooter like Ray, which is why they struggle so much from distance, but if they add Hield or Murray through the draft, watch out.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Len is probably the worst defensive center I've ever seen. The last several Phoenix games I've watched he's just been absolutely terrible at even getting outside of the paint, which leaves him very susceptible to being abused in high PnR's and stretch bigs.

This is a different Phoenix team with Knight back. Combining his return with the soft schedule, Brooklyn's harder schedule, and the fact that the coach has no incentive to lose games but to, in fact, win as many games as possible, and it looks like the Suns are primed to pass Brooklyn in the standings. I'd be extremely happy with the third worst record in the league going into the lottery.

Booker has been terrible with six turnovers, and he might have just cost them the game with a costly turnover with thirty seconds left in the game. Ugghh. Why he has the ball over Knight is beyond me.

EDIT: Haha then he goes and hits the and-1 shot for the go-ahead. Figures lol
