RHJ probable for tomorrow night :-\
Not sure that's anything to worry about. He's a rookie coming off a 2+ month layoff. He's gonna be rusty for quite some time.

I think it's important that players don't intentionally lose games. The weird sports psychology around that just scares. However, coaches being "creative" in games that may have a marked effect on the draft doesn't really perturb me all that much. Obviously I don't want a Byron Scott-esque refusal to develop players just to tank, but losing this Suns game wouldn't be on par with that.

I sort of file this in the same bucket as playing our starters to 40 minutes on the nights that we play the Nets (yes I know we didn't do that). We needed those wins as much as we need their losses.

The odds between the 3rd and 4th pick are essentially equal so the C's are sitting in a good spot regardless barring the Nets winning some games they shouldn't.

The odds of winning the lottery is higher with the 3rd worst seed than the 4th (3.7% higher).

True. As long as the C's get a top 3 pick I'll be happy tho. I'm not sure Ainge will even keep the pick.

Charlotte is set-up for a let-down game tonight visiting the Nets after beating SA last night at home.  I hate to think it, but the Nets have a great shot to win tonight.

Very similar to what happened to the Spurs against Charlotte.

They just blew a game on Saturday vs Denver. That's still fresh in their mind.

At the beginning of the season I decided that a top 5 pick would be wonderful but that Danny was probably going to trade it.

Very similar to what happened to the Spurs against Charlotte.

Charlotte have been one of the best teams in the NBA since the All Star Break.
The Spurs were always going to have a hard time beating Charlotte in Charlotte- they are on fire.

Although the Hornets did come down from a 23 point deficit last night :)

Lin was on fire too.

But what I mean is that both the Spurs and Hornets are good teams. The Nets are a dumpster fire so much less chance of an upset ;)
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
18-6 run and an 11 point lead with six minutes to go. Jefferson killing it.

Edit: ugggh, 8 point lead now. Come on Charlotte!

I love how Brook Lopez has struggled to get on the court in recent seasons yet when we need him to continue that trend, he's probably going to be putting up 70+ games played averaging  21 points and 8 rebounds on 52% shooting.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?
