Great start to the game, Channing Frye is looking good.

Hezonja just had the sickest block I've seen in awhile, too.  Wow

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
As mentioned earlier, the Nets have beaten three teams with a .500 record or better for the entire season so far.

go magic!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm tremendously underwhelmed by Payton. Harris definitely looks solid enough to try and trade for.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Mike Fratello said that Stephen Curry has more made 3's than the entire Nets team combined.  Pretty remarkable.

The Nets look awful.  I know they are one of the worst 3 point shooting teams, but I have to imagine that they are literally the worst.  They look out and out demoralized right now against the Magic, who aren't very good either.  This is the kind of effort and body language I have been waiting for from them all season.

Meanwhile, I like basically all of our starters except Amir more than anyone on the Magic.  I think the trade threads can stop.

Wow.  That dunk by Nicholson was nasty.  I love the replay too, showed how not close Bargnani was to blocking the dunk.

I really like Orlando's team.  Lots of athleticism and intriguing young talent.  Interesting how they're running Hezonja at the PG spot too.

The Nets are 6-5 at home and 1-11 on the road.  This home loss to the Magic would be huge for our pick.  This is great, they're blowing them out and really demoralizing them.  Hopefully they don't bounce back like they did against us the next game.

Their upcoming schedule is:

Heat (in BK)
Pacers (In Indy)
Wolves (In BK)
Bulls (In Chi)
Dallas (In BK)
Wizards (In BK)
Heat (In Miami)
Magic (In Orlando)

So 4 home, 4 away. They should win 2 of those games, 3 tops. Then, they play another back to back against us again.  I think it's funny that the schedulers put us up against them like that, almost certainly in regards to our pick situation.  If we can actually beat them both times like we know we are capable of, they could go 2-8 over that stretch and be 9-25.  That would make me feel pretty great about everything.

Like, why does Hollins still have Lopez and his starters in?
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Brooklyn seem to overachieve against the better teams, but in games where I expect them to be competitive, like this one, they end up getting embarrassed. Doesn't matter to me, their next couple of games are tough.

They might beat Minny and who the heck knows what's up with Washington nowadays.

They're so thin he has to watch his bench's minutes.  I think that's actually the reason, too!

This is a pretty embarassing loss. They just didn't compete. After the pathetic chest pumping that happened after their come from behind victory over the 76ers, it is becoming harder and harder to polish the turd that is this Net's team. 7-17 and two wins behind their nearest competition. The Kings, Nuggets and T-Wolves have all looked better than the Nets this season. The Kings have limited reason to tank given if they win the lottery Philly can swap with them. (and on a side note they have just looked pretty good lately)

Funny, I was coming here to ask that exact same question about their starters. And I love the answer!
