People REALLY overvalue Celtics players.

Welcome to the World of Celticsblog!  Where we have 12 all stars in waiting and yet no one wanted our assets.

Something like Sully and Babb might work (can't get the trade machines to work.)

This worked as a trade, don't know if it would happen.   I really can't see Jared excelling in a mile high atmosphere when he had trouble running at sea-level.

Throwing in Turner worked as well because DEN is under the cap.

If Gallo isn't available, another scoring wing I'd make a play for Nick Young.

.........and cue the "but he doesn't play any defense."

Right on cue I come....

He sucks, period.

His career 12 ppg suggest otherwise. I'd take him over Turner any day of the week.  Period.
We need scoring from the 3 right now, which we don't have.
Just put a "I am a Brad Stevens guy" t-shirt on him and everyone will be happy.

He's 30, 3 years left on a contract which makes Gallinari more apealing for cap reason, and his BBIQ is crap, and he's more of a chucker than IT, but at least IT hits shots at a better rate and can and WILL make good passes.

Welcome to the World of Celticsblog!  Where we have 12 all stars in waiting and yet no one wanted our assets.

Is that the same CBlog where you trade:

a 24 year-old All-Defensive 2nd Team guard, who shoots 36% from 3PT, averages 13+ per game, and is under control for 3 years

PLUS

a 23 year-old power forward who averaged 13 and 8 (in 27 minutes), to whom we have RFA rights

(PLUS more)

For a 27 year-old player on an expiring deal, who is still recovering from a major ACL injury, who averaged 16 and 5 in his best season before the injury?

Yes, must be green-tinted glasses, and not "grass is greener" thinking...

Please, please, please, please, please, please in the future avoid using PPG as your "evidence" of why a player doesn't suck.

Everyone around here will appreciate it, and it won't give me a headache in the process.

I know huh, stupid facts.

And I could honestly care less about your headache, or your condescending, know it all attitude.

How about these facts ....he is a terrible shooter and always injured??
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

A guy who is predominantly shoot first, who doesn't shoot the ball well. What could go wrong?  ::)

Pretty much the same stats as Bradley last year, except a worse shooting percentage, and that says something.

What is the point of offering Bradley ++ for this guy when he offers nothing more and will probably command a higher payday?

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Good points.  I'm not a big fan of AB but I think I would rather have him than Gallinari.

It begs the question why you're so gung-ho about trading Bradley and his superior 13.9 PPG last season, if you hold PPG into such a high regard.

Anyways, you've been around this forum long enough to know how little weight PPG has in the evaluation of a player, so it was surprising to see you defaulting to it as evidence of a player sucking or not.

But whatever, to each his own.

He had a better eFG%, and a much better TS%, which tend to be better stats because they account for 3-pointers and FT (in the case of TS).  That said, due to age and defense, I would not trade Bradley for Gallo.  I'm all in favor of bringing Gallo here, but not at the expense of Bradley.

but ainge probably wasnt interested in their price
denver seems to be looking to move most of their vets  (except chandler) in order to tank for next draft

We have a sf in Gigi.  We have enough guys that can stretch the floor

Except we don't actually have Gigi anymore. We haven't re-signed him yet, and haven't even seen any interest in us re-signing him. He's a free agent who , as he said, is waiting and keeping his options open, so no, we don't even have Gigi as a SF, we have Turner and Crowder. Thats basically it.

And to be even more clear: Gigi just signed to a contract with Fenerbahçe.

I liked Datome'.  But he is not an option anymore.
